Just want to say in regards to people asking how they could get lost 2 miles from the trail, there is nothing to suggest that they hadn't gone even further a distance away and tried to make their way back finally ending up two miles from the trail. They could have walked many more miles away...

It is terrible and chilling. The Icelandic police have done an amazing job so far. From the sound of it they are trying to get something to tie them to the crime in the event that She is not found. Circumstantial evidence isn't enough. I hope justice is served.

Have been closely following ever since my Icelandic friend told me. I was in Iceland in September. Police confirm they have found birnas blood in the red car. It is now a murder enquiry. So sad. Poor girl. I hope they find her body for her loved ones.
