She doesn't have to met the parents, if her supervisor(to call him or her a name) told her " the parents" have said she wanted to see the waterfall, she could be repeating what she was told, not necessarily that she heard it from the parents. JMO

The parents could have mention this to the police, remember this is a statement by one of the searchers, there where around 350 people searching .I doubt the family spoke to each of them, so someone is guiding them and telling the where to look first. Maybe they indeed inform the police early...

Thanks for this, this article is from today so they mean that the waterfall comment was previouly undisclosed. Do they mean the authorities didn't disclosed this with the searchers or the family didn't inform the police about her wanted to visit a waterfall?. JMO

One things is someone wildly suggesting she went to the waterfall and fell in the river which a lot of people speculated since she would probably was drawn to water. And another one is a real publication or an statement from a family member or the press about them saying she wanted to visit that...

I've been following this case since day one and have not seen the waterfall comment until the day she was found. I could be wrong .JMO

What good will it make to have a 12 and an 8 year old wondering around the jungle looking for their sister when there are more than enough professionals on the search. JMO
