I don't know about this. Couldn't it have been as simple as she wanted to let Bowie off leash for a bit? We don't know whether he was running loose when she was attacked (or when he was attacked)! I have to believe if she was meeting up with someone there would be evidence of that on her...
Anybody know what the last entry on the docket means? Did the judge deny the new trial motion? If so, I'm surprised I don't see any articles about that.
3/03/22 Notice of Filing Proposed Order Denying Defendant's Motion for Judgment of Acquittal or New Trial Office of Special Prosecutions...
That's interesting - and also sounds like the guy in that case was already on police radar. If they had a suspect here, they could verify phone whereabouts and usage/non-usage and compare the latter to previous patterns. If they have no suspect, though, that won't help at all, of course.
I'm...
It sounds to me like the police have resorted to trying to gather cell phone data to see who was in the park at that hour (that's my extrapolation from the press conference in which they referred to cell phone information). I'm wondering whether the area is just too congested to make that...
I wonder if Bowie was off leash, or she was letting Bowie run around with his leash dangling. I just say that because to me it seems as though the killer would want to grab and neutralize the dog, without having to approach to within leash-length of Katie and alarm her. They were found 100 feet...
Late to the party here, but just wanted to say I can't believe this case doesn't have a little more traction publicity-wise. To me it's almost Delphi-level fascinating, and the cases have some notable similarities (public park, more than one victim, the killer took his time, <modsnip:rumors).
I love it too - the visuals (photos or images) are very helpful! Is it searchable though? For those of us looking for a specific case, would be very helpful.
Girlfriend said he was in and out that night, only present in her room sporadically. In fact she remembered a guy trying to kiss her, and she said that would not have happened if SD had been around. So, no alibi.
We did get to hear all the recorded interviews with SD.
I haven't been listening the whole time (it's weeks long!) but it seems as though they never tested the pubic hair found on Sophie? If this is true, that's a problem IMO.
It seems to me it may be significant to the jury that SD stated...
Prosecution rested today. Defense moved to dismiss for lack of evidence (standard motion), judge said he has to view the evidence presented so far in the light most favorable to the state. So, considering the ample amounts of fresh semen that had not drained from Sophie (meaning she never stood...
These are all good questions. I'd also like to know whether the police have been taking this seriously. Have they BOLO'd her car? Cars are often much easier to locate than people.
