Police broke into her Renton, Washington home after Lyne was reported missing and found her purse and cellphone there. Her silver 2015 Toyota Highlander, with the plate number AUW3230, was also initially reported stolen and was later found in downtown Seattle...

He didn't go inside. He went to the house, her car wasn't there & she never answered the phone so he ︎called her mother. The police had to break in to her house apparently, after she was reported missing. It was stated in the dailymail article I posted a few pages back.

I think the ex husband realised she wasn't home because her car wouldn't have been parked outside & maybe he did knock but there was no answer? The daily mail article I posted, It was said police had to break in to Ingrids home after she was reported missing.
