Maybe. If the rich and powerful of SC are tangled up in this, that gives them even more reason to close ranks and make it go away. This case needs outside accountability.

I will never lose sight of the (MOO) corruption and good ole boy network that allowed this family to escape the consequences (MOO) of their actions. Hope SLED has the courage to find the truth and prosecute everything they can.

This is the scenario I’m considering too. Though I do think the tragic deaths of Stephen Smith and Mallory Beach play a role in this. I’m counting on justice to prevail.
