She must have ended up in the Las Vegas Wash and then maybe ended up in Lake Mead. I find it weird that they are looking at Jane Does in Virginia. Also, I think that she was divorced less than a week before dying is just a red herring.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned yet as there are a lot of comments. However, I think this is Nancy Lynn Jason. Everything basically checks out. She was last seen in 1977 about 40 miles northwest and was planning to hitchhike to Florida, which could take here to the general vicinity of...
I know that the Zodiac Killer's Hallowe'en Card was doctored from an original. I was looking online for other hallowe'en cards from that time frame and found a vintage one that had a skeleton with one of the same phrases. "From Your Secret Pal" was used on a vintage Hallowe'en Card with a...
If you look at her Ancestry family tree, before she disappeared she had a child with a man 20 years her senior.
Rhonda Dale Byers was born on April 20, 1962
She turned 18 on April 20th, 1980
She went missing in 1981 (I think January 1st is just the date NamUs plugged in and is not the correct...
I looked at this case. I am pretty sure like 95% sure she is Almedia Carolyn Flood as well. Flood married Vernon Melcher. They were both associated with Louisville, Kentucky. However, Almedia Carolyn Flood was born in 1922 whereas the NamUs profile is for a 43-year-old who disappeared in early...
Her remains have only been partly recovered. Sometimes, they do that, like in Kelly Disney's case. The Sheriff said this in an email to me:
"Yes, MARIZ is deceased, however, only partial remains were discovered. There is still a great deal of remains that have not been found, or might be DOE...
Yeah, good catch. That pink ring and the watch are interesting. But if the Jane Doe was only dead six months as someone above posted, then it leaves a really big gap. Worth keeping in mind though.
I found a newspaper article that said Mary Ann Mariz had been found deceased. The age was off by a year, however, everything else about the case matched up. I emailed NamUs and the sheriff who is associated with this case. The attached article is from The Auburn Journal, February 12th, 1985...
I've been working on cases lately where bus stations are part of the case somehow. I have to say, I am noticing a pattern in several cases where the husband claims he dropped a wife off at a bus station, yet there's no proof of that.
There have been many times when someone disappeared in an area and the police allegedly "scoured" the area and then the person showed up not too far from where they were last seen years later. Police searches, like anything else, are often just on a budget.
He seemed to be a part of a weird contingent of criminals that want contradicting things: he wanted the attention that came with getting caught and yet he valued his freedom and thus didn't want to get caught.
