Great info - thanks!!
But, how do we piece this together with the attempted abduction in May of an adult woman? (And LE also mentioned another one in July 2010.)
I watched that report this morning. He said the jogger attack was described as Light-Skinned and the attacker last night was Hispanic (so opposite the quote above).
The other BIG issue with connecting last night's attempt is that there were TWO guys involved.
Actually, the conversation above was about the socks, not the cross.
I think the cross was found near remains. HLN is reporting that (though I don't know how credible that is).
I have no idea. It's a good question maybe one of the more experienced sleuths here could answer. And, I'm not saying it wasn't sexually motivated, but we don't know for sure, I don't think.
Plus, what really bugs me is that the DNA links Jessica's case to the woman at Ketner Lake, or so it...
Stuff I hate writing: I also wonder if he is a hunter. You can fill in the line of reasoning.
(And, of course, this is not a statement or condemnation of hunting in any way.)
From Twitter - HLN is reporting the cross was found AT one of the scenes, though the don't say which scene.
Also, regarding these receipts, I'm sure this has been said already, but (1) there are conflicting reports of where the receipts were found, (2) it was EXTREMELY windy where her body...
Horrible question, but do we know yet if this is a murder only or a murder PLUS sexual assault?
I think we're all operating under the premise that this was a sexual assault attempt at first and have spent a lot of time looking at RSOs.
I ask, because if there is no sexual assault...
The Amber Alert automated call came in to houses in the area around 9:30, if I recall. It was kind of hard to understand what the computerized voice was saying and I had to have it repeated.
After that, about 9:40 or so, an Amber Alert broke through on the television.
It's perfectly...
I haven't caught up yet, so I'm sorry if this has been mentioned already today. A couple of observations on the marks on the cross:
1) The three marks are there for a purpose. I've seen a ton a crosses and checked hundreds, if not thousands, now online and consulted with religious expert...
Funny - A number of my friends and I have several pairs of shoes, but they are the same model (though, I agree - I have a "treadmill" pair).
Now that's a pretty good idea! I'd also say that it would be so fantastic to find Jessica's killer, but even if a search somehow uncovered the creep...
FWIW, I think the cross looks closest to a Celtic shape. This is the closest I've found:
But, the wood on the JR one looks more like rosewood or cherry wood. If rosewood, could be from Costa Rica. There are plenty of churches which do mission trips to Costa Rica. (Of course, not to...
I agree - looks like a crucifix on the rosary (i.e., a metal figure of Jesus attached to the wooden cross). And, it looks a little big. But - great eyes to even see this!
It's tough - there are events every weekend here. There was a run nearby in September called the Panerathon (Panera Bread, proceeds help support hunger relief). It's popular. Olde Town Arvada has had events on many weekends - farmers' markets, festivals, and the weekend the body was ID'ed...
I'm not convinced the attempted abduction of the boy is linked to the other ones.
But, nevertheless, I am convinced the guy who attempted to abduct the boy in Westcliff is a runner. The kids said they watched him do a few laps. That, the description of his physique and outfit all lead me...
You're totally right!!! I missed the Westcliff reference. You're right - this was at Big Dry Creek. (No clue where the other poster got Louisville??)
I think the only reason I saw the reference to this incident was because a member here posted it. Does LE think this is related? If it is...
