Just playing devil's advocate for a moment.... What if Mom did come clean and tell the truth quickly, but LE chose not to release this because they didn't want JD to know they suspected him? What if someone was watching him, waiting to see if he returned to the crime scene or disposed of a...

Thanks for the info! I'm new, too. I just found this forum on Monday, and have barely left it since. (I really, really should start sleeping more, but this forum makes it difficult). Everyone seems great, and I hope you feel as welcome as I have!

I'm confused, too... He was with his biological dad the night before last, according to his (CONFIRMED ID) uncle (His father's brother). I don't know if this news article is "behind," or if the boy was only with his biological dad for a while before returning to his mother, or if CPS took him...

I'm not a psychiatrist or psychologist, either, but the idea of SAYING he was putting her out of her misery might occur to one, IMO... It doesn't mean it's what he was actually DOING. Just a way to try to get people to sympathize with him in the horrible situation he was accidentally, supposedly...

Also, I have grown up in the "farm life" and have been around hunting half my life. I have had to put an animal or 3 out of its misery, and it has never been in such a violent way as what JD did to poor little Willow. Also, I definitely cried while doing so. (And I'm talking a bird that was...

I'm not going to argue with your trying to rationalize the "mercy killing" aspect here, because you're entitled to your opinion, I respect it, and I can see where you're coming from (whether I agree or not)... However, even if we could make ourselves think, "Maybe in a panic, someone would...

We don't really know... And we don't really know that SHE said that, because all direct quotes of it seem to come from someone else (the boyfriend's mom). http://shelbycountynews.net/search-for-missing-watson-girl-resumed-monday-evening-after-temporary-delay-p24744-1.htm

None have been noted in any of the 3,000 (exaggerated) articles I keep rechecking for updates, etc, but I could have missed something.

Agreed, but due to the original source's credibility, I am trying to pretend to be unbiased about the "fabled" third crime scene until it's officially called that. >.>

The aforementioned article doesn't say a whole lot, but it makes me wonder about the fabled third crime scene.

I've only ever read "in the house." No description as to WHERE in the house, just like with the betty boop nightgown she wasn't wearing. They were just "in the house." Somewhere.

I was reading through before posting this morning and had already made a mental note to ask this exact same question! Thanks so much for doing it for me because I'm also confused by it. I don't even know where the argument story came from, but it's been there all along. (I may continue reading...

No facts, but a thank you by a family member a few minutes ago, for anyone who would like to read it. Willow's father also commented on it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1410843499133551/1411806569037244/?comment_id=1411808202370414&notif_t=group_comment_reply Posted 24 minutes ago.

Agreed. I hope he didn't see anything, and I am telling myself that maybe he didn't because if he had, he may have suffered a different fate. Unless his uncle was confident that the little boy was not able to communicate well enough to tell what he saw, that is.
