Great list of what the undisputed facts are- easily lost sight of in a flood of speculation (especially my own!).
As regards your final paragraph, I would second that wholeheartedly- I have never encountered such an intelligent, and even more important, tolerant, group of people on the...
I agree. DNA is not going to solve this. Where was the body between 17/12 and 24/12? Like Phillb, I just can't accept that it lay undiscovered on the verge of a well-frequented road for 7 days.
In my view, the body was in the boot of a car. Who needs a freezer, when outside temperatures that...
From what I know of the technology, the police would not require physical possession of the phone or the sim card to carry out a triangulation exercise, That is done from the phone company logs. However they would need the phone to recover contacts etc held on the sim or phone memory. So I too...
I read somewhere that it was a ford ka, but I can't find a link. Here it is:
Supposedly from "The Times" around 8/9 January: Jo and Greg shared a car, a Ford Ka, which is still with the police along with the clothes he was wearing.
Can't link to Times website, due to Paywall.
I think the body could have been in the boot of the car he drove to Sheffield, then disposed of on his way back to the flat on the 20th. He had plenty of time on the 20th, only he knows when he really got to the flat, the important time is when he left Sheffield, we have no information on that.
Yes, maybe I'm just so convinced by my own theory that I try to make everything fit it, just human nature, I suppose, but I must try to be more objective.

Looks like we're thinking along similar lines.
It says "caught", so the police will have some footage to look at- whether it shows anything worthwhile is another matter, but as I posted before, they could surely figure out the make.
Here is the link, and whatever I think about Mirror journalism, the source of that article can only be the police.

My dog-walking theories convinced me straight away that the body hadn't been there long before discovery, these pictures are conclusive, in my view.
Does anyone know whether it snowed on Christmas Eve where the body was found? I seem to remember that it did, but have lost the link.
The police are looking for a confession here, either from the "relative", or more likely from the murderer, who they think won't want to land his "relative" in big deep trouble. It will be interesting to see whether this ploy works.
I agree, plus going direct to Sheffield on the 17th saves about an hour compared to going via Longwood Lane. To me it was always unlikely that the body lay where it was found undiscovered for 8 days. The last aerial photo you posted of the quarry shows the level of activity- that entrance was a...
I agree. Given the pulling of the GR video, I kind of expect an arrest this weekend. But then this case just keeps springing surprises, so I won't be holding my breath.
Here is the link re departure time:

The jump start is reported as around 7pm, I understood he left straight away, my own timeline is on that basis. Once you get a jump start, you keep that engine turning, I was always told!
Running time Bristol to Sheffield on my route planning site is almost exactly 3 hours, distance 179...
