No but it depends on the connection. And if the juror's husband was prosecuted by Juan that would have been a huge reason to strike her for potential prejudice. Juan would have stricken her if it wasn't done in the initial judge strikes if she'd put it on her questionnaire. If she didn't put it...
I don't even remember I just read about it but the foreman was removed for not deliberating and replaced with an alternate after deliberations had begun.
It was known to them already what the split was. It was reported what the split was before the jurors spoke so they must have indicated what the split was on their questions to the judge.
That's what we speculated. But then Dr Drew tweeted out that the announcement that juror #17 would be on came after the jury was dismissed and 17 was held back and so it could not have been that. So I don't know.
Seriously. That judge is ugh. And I have a problem with her breaking into testimony to tell the jury to set their emotions aside all the time. I find that more prejudicial than if she said nothing.
They seemed to be goading him into acting the way he does in court and asking him sarcastically,, "are you always so measured?" To which Juan logically replied um, have you seen me in court? They expect big, loud Juan all the time. I also thought it was funny how they were shocked that he wasn't...
And even when the last jury hung the jurors who voted death said while those who voted life saw things the death voters didn't see, like emotional abuse, that it was their right and their opinion and that's just how it is and they respected that. That's just the law. So, again, for this jury...
They also said it seemed to be about pride for her than something she really believed and wouldn't really give them any reasons for her decision. Again, I think there was just something there that the jurors just talking about her actions and words isn't communicating.
I also thought it was...
Yes. I know that we are only getting one side of the story but for all 11 jurors to be that angry at her means something. I don't think it was so simple as she watched a movie and called the death penalty revenge but more than that and I think even if legally she could not have been removed she...
You and the juror are extremely astute. Jodi says she is not a liar just because she lies and seems to think little white lies aren't a big deal. But it's those stupid little lies that reveal who you are. She doesn't seem to understand it.
