GUILTY WI - Brittany Zimmermann, 21, Madison, 2 April 2008 *arrest in 2020*

http://www.news.wisc.edu/brittany-zimmermann/index.html Info about her services and her life. I worked w/ some UW students today - life goes on, but campus-wide - this is felt deeply. It's one of your own and not an event that happens EVER...

GUILTY WI - Brittany Zimmermann, 21, Madison, 2 April 2008 *arrest in 2020*

Agreed. And why would a student have motive? Although - why would a transient have motive? Therefore - all three murders (nolan - known, no transient, marino - planned, no transient, zimmerman - ?? ) are not connected.

1 in 50 babies abused, neglected in U.S.

Sorry for the coldhearted angle - but we all pay more in taxes/social programs/jails/education etc. because of this. I wish adoption could be seen as the most positive, highest esteemed sacrifice that a mother could ever make - and that more girls would choose it. Also - teen pregnancy is...

States May Free Inmates to Save Millions

    I can't afford cable b/c I watch my bills. I have to make sacrifices in groceries b/c of rising prices. It does burn me that criminals watch better TV and eat better than my kids. That said - Truth in Sentencing (WI) and 3 strikes and long sentences for minor...

You make an excellent point about the Greyhound station and I hadn't thought of that. The cop in the news article just seemed to blame transients (in a very tolerant city) and I think he was wrong for doing that. I agree, though, that Marino's murder was a blip, whereas this one is big. One...

Did Rolling fit into the campus environment or stick out? B/c I believe that Nolan's killer had to fit into the campus environment or else the last guy she was seen with would not have allowed her to go with the other guy. Marino's killer would have fit in - dressed as he was.

Hi SS - good to see you! What's the Fire Department connection? Just that they would respond quickly? West Wash would run parallel to Doty - a block or two in between. My girlfriend lives very close to the murder. SCARY!

GUILTY WI - Brittany Zimmermann, 21, Madison, 2 April 2008 *arrest in 2020*

She worked in the Registrar's office, and I would guess from other information, that if she hadn't shown up for work, someone would have called. Definitely if she didn't show up twice. Plus, everyone has cell phones on campus now, so students expect to get a hold of each other. And, she's...

GUILTY WI - Brittany Zimmermann, 21, Madison, 2 April 2008 *arrest in 2020*

Weapon was a knife. "Chest trauma" is tentatively id'ed as cause of death. She's from Marshfield - a smaller town in the middle of the state. Good sized town in the middle of a rural area... Maybe the 10th largest city in the state. Doty Street is in the heart of campus. She lived in the...

    WI WI - Kelly Nolan, 22, Madison, 23 Jun 2007 #2

The only new info I saw this AM was that she lived in the apartment with her fiance. Her fiance has not been quoted in the paper at all, nor have the papers reported anything about his whereabouts.

    WI WI - Kelly Nolan, 22, Madison, 23 Jun 2007 #2

The murder is the city's second this year, following the January stabbing death of Joel Marino in his South Side home, which police said also could have been random. Police have not made an arrest in that murder. Wray said while police cannot rule out a connection, at this point in the...

They are calling it a HOMICIDE. http://www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=1&date=4/2/2008&id=37877 Madison cops are going to take some SERIOUS heat over this. I believe the last murder on campus before Kelly was a drug shooting in 1997 (UW student was dealing). Before that... who knows... My...

GUILTY WI - Ann Nelson, 71, real estate agent, murdered, Cambridge, 18 March 2008

With his prior as a sex offender, I do think he planned this crime out as well. His story about be coming enraged when she questioned affording the home might seem plausible, but with a prior crime I don't believe that he didn't intend to kill. In this jurisdiction, it won't matter either way...
