How does the timing of a "hit" work? Is there a hit if she'd been there 6 months earlier, say? Does that mean that, assuming she'd been there at least once before, the dogs tell you nothing about whether or not she was there that night?
Well, I think it's safe to say she went to one or both of 5 North and 10th and College Apts. I'm unsure how useful it would be to use dogs in these places if she was traveling between them and/or had visited them previously. In any event, presumably the trail runs cold if she is put in an...
I admit to not being especially familiar with "search and cadaver dogs," but I don't understand what utility they would have in searching for someone who was disposed of with the aid of an unknown individual('s vehicle?).
Note that LE has not in fact named any POI, except JR, and that only apparently on background to a single print publication. While JW has been confirmed to be a POI in response to a question at a news conference, he has never been named by LE (though the question came after his name had already...
Isn't the apt being referenced that of a POI and one that has already been searched? I believe the implication here is that another, unknown, individual may have been present prior to the OD and in any event aided in the disposal.
Hi Folks. I'd left the sleuthing behind at frustration with both the investigation and what I perceived as the failure to focus on what seemed to me to be by far the most probable storyline, which was basically the same one Northsider just laid out. It certainly could be off the mark, or...
And what of the Post article today? While I agree that it may be a "rag," I don't think they're just impugning one POI on the basis of a statement explicitly directed at many people (though the parents have also referenced a singular individual in a prior conference). They may not have talked to...
While I am hardly on JR's side here, I must say I've never had much doubt about his story about being able to see her walk down the street. Presumably he would be in the best possible position to know whether that is possible, and probably wouldn't have said it if it weren't. There are other...
Because their polygraphs were administered by LE, who isn't going to say who passes, while JR's apparently was conducted in private by someone hired by his defense team. We don't know what they asked him or whether it was what LE would have asked him or covers everything they would want to know...
That may well be true. It's also probably irrelevant.
We know that this girl had a heart condition. It's heavily rumored and has not been denied that she was on drugs (said by one person who I believe might know to be out of the ordinary) that mixed with that condition present a risk of...
This may be repeating an earlier, inaccurate report. However, the lawyer also said MB had never been in any trouble before, though in fact he's had at least a drinking citation. Could be reputation management for someone who had no real involvement, or something else.
It's not 100% accurate. That doesn't mean it's inaccurate. And it's inadmissible in court because we have a right to trial by a jury of one's peers, not by polygraph - you don't want the jury to substitute the test's judgment for its own.
of course not. we should also recognize that the good reasons that polygraph results are not admissible in court do not nevertheless imply that they don't have some potential utility if not reliability for investigative purposes.
