Just watched the series on Max tonight and thought it was very well done. The mother and son that died by suicide by train was something I hadn’t heard before, not to mention her possibly having knowledge of who was involved in this case. Also since the very beginning of this case… the man (...
Has anyone done any research on this man? I did a little bit years ago and I’m thinking he might need another look.

I believe they absolutely thought or hoped he might visit the site Jodi was at for some reason. It’s a clear tell to me LE thinks he’s responsible but can’t prove it.
Jim definitely wasn’t fixated on JV. He actually had a handful of potential suspects and yes JV was always one of them. He accumulated an unbelievable amount of knowledge on Jodi’s case over the years and had a passion like no other to solve it.
I know the Miata transaction has been discussed lately and what I know is that around June 10th Jodi bought Lessard’s Miata thru Skarlis Old’s Honda dealership in Mason City with them taking Jodi’s Honda CRX in for trade.
At 7:00 John stated to AS at the gas station that Jodi was gone and didn’t show up for work which was before the welfare check was even placed. Then on the show Amy stated that John called the station at around 7:25 just before she went on air asking to talk to Jodi and acted surprised she...
Also remember when AS said John was asking what he thought was very stupid nervous questions like where AS was going to work that day considering he already knew ....maybe they weren’t stupid questions after all. AS drilled wells for a living so hopefully all his recent job sites were checked...
John called AS before they met at the gas station so if the police have the record of that phone call taking place it’s lights out completely on what LaDonna is saying. We are literally talking case closed but not enough to prove it. In my opinion John was directly involved or knows who was.
She’s definitely not telling the truth and the timeline of events just doesn’t add up. The grand jury knew it and obviously the police knew it. John met his friend AS...that made an appearance on the Oxygen show...at the gas station at 7:00 AM claiming that Jodi was gone. The welfare check...
I thought they did a pretty good job with this Oxygen show. Here is the link below of Clemente discussing the case. The card that was sent by Jodi to John and then thrown out, was interesting as I don't remember hearing that before.
Maureen O'Connell Calls Jim Clemente to Talk About Jodi...
Just to clarify a witness did observe a van in the lot which was in the book. I might have added additional details from some research that was done. Sorry I haven’t been checking in recently....currently in busy season at work. Keep up the good sleuthing everyone.
JV’s girlfriend was the friend he was supposed to meet for jogging that morning and was on the ABC news special. It was probably smart they kept the relationship out of public view for the most part considering she was married at the time.
Info below is from a timeline that Feldhaus did an excellent job putting together on Vansice. I’m able to share a few minor things but there are some that he made me promise not too as well which I have to keep.

EVENT: John VanSice demonstrates...
Not sure on the lawyer. On Wednesday June 28th while having breakfast with Jodi’s sister and others it was mentioned that Jodi’s father died of cancer when she was 13. Vansice suddenly became angry and exclaimed, “Jodi never told me her father had died of cancer”.
Yes he was spotted in the lot at various times by several people. I believe the book also mentioned a witness that spotted a van in the lot with two guys in it <modsnip - insensitive>. Let’s just say it’s very possible one of those guys in that van was related to a KIMT employee at the time.
