Okay, I just read the article on the witness who spotted the station wagon and he says he remembers the man had a misshapen nose. While surfing, I came across the photo of an older man with definitely a crooked nose and his last name is very interesting. Can I post his photo or should I not...
I noticed at the bottom of this article I've posted below, the 10/16 photo has him standing beside a station wagon.

I think someone else mentioned this, but do you think they could have found evidence that ZA or whoever video recorded all or part of the crime against Holly? :dunno:
Holy smoke. I about fainted this morning reading the headline on all major news sources. Will be anxiously awaiting the press conference. My heart grieves for the family. I have followed this case for years. I truly hope it's solved. :please:
Boy, I'll have to say I see a huge resemblance. Honestly, a lot of times when I look at comparisons on this website that people swear by I don't usually agree. But this one to me looks like an older, slimmer-faced Betty. I mean it really, really does. However, JMO.
The sketch looked familiar to me too, so I did some digging and it is a sketch of the man who was seen with Charles "Chuckie" Mauk 3 years earlier. Chuckie was shot in the back of the head and killed.
Trino, regarding your observation about the voice of the abductor. I remember reading in more than one article the boys remember the voice of the man was very unique. Kind of raspy, like he had a cold or something.
I wonder why a house alarm didn't go off when the killer broke in? Mrs. Percy activated one on top of the house after she caught the killer in Valerie's room but I am surprised in that big of a house they didn't have an alarm set to go off if there was an intruder. :waitasec:
I remember the movie based on the Fatal Vision book. What stood out to me that I have never forgotten is when Freddie Kassab entered the house to look at the crime scene. There were Valentine cards on top of a bookcase. Freddie asks the investigator that is with him, "And he said there was a...
carrie, I believe this may be the book you were referring to: Lizzie Borden: The Legend, the Truth, the Final Chapter by Arnold R. Brown.
I used to work in a library and read this years ago. It was a good book and very intriguing. The author points the finger directly at Lizzie's brother...
I couldn't begin to imagine going back to that house to live after that. I wouldn't have slept a wink. I read somewhere that Valerie's dad described her stepmother and Sharon as very jittery in the house after that. Yeah, no kidding.
Thanks for posting that link. That was a very good article. I also think that is interesting Trooper Barrows thinks it was someone she didn't have reason to be afraid of. Makes sense. Nothing much else makes sense. I will be thinking of Betsy on November 28th. Forty long years. Wow.
my2sisters, I know what you mean. I had a toothache the other day and thought about how fortunate I was to be able to go to the dentist. Can you imagine no doctor care for almost 20 years? When I was 14, I was jamming to Rick Springfield and starting to really notice guys. Uh, not giving...
This case is so creepy yet so intriguing. I had never heard of it before now. Littlehorn, are there any interviews with the lady who found Betsy? Is she still alive? You mentioned it had changed her life. I know it would have mine. Thanks for all your research into this.

I basically only had time to skim this right now but did find it interesting. Notice that Katrina Blair's post almost halfway down the page states that her brother played the Easter bunny one year at the mall.
Also, a little farther...
