That was my thinking too. He took a detour on the way home via Anderson Park, likely coming down Rawson St, and crossing over Kurraba Rd, at which point could possibly have been on CCTV from the shops opposite. I have not head of any police diving going on, but it may have.
Ben Boyd Rd is a rather steep and windy road. I avoid walking up/down it as much as possible and if I were walking to Spruson Street from where DJK worked I would take Watson > Yeo > Premiere > Montpelier > Spruson
You make a very good point. I can't wait to (and hopefully we do) find out what really happened that night. There's so many possibilities of what may have happened.
From the previous thread
I agree. MH leaves his friends and heads home, then heads to the Oaks at 1am, the time DJK was to finish work. MH is seen on CCTV outside the Oaks on Ben Boyd Rd, DJK has been seen on CCTV lurking around the lane way opposite. Perhaps he can see MH finishing off his...
After webhunter_au posts, I also did some digging and found his profile on a particular site.
His username is quite interesting, I'm not sure if I should post publicly?
He also say's he likes guys 'with a bit of muscle but not overly so'
This is now somewhat confusing, MH was pacing up and down on Ben Boyd Rd, outside the Oaks and DJK was hanging around in the Lane Way opposite, this slightly contradicts the earlier reports that before he approached MH at the lights near Watson St he was seen on CCTV walking past Vinnies. I'm...
Yup, totally agree. Has been my thought for a while, the attack was not intended and planned until an argument or misunderstanding broke out, DJK grabbed a nearby object, (pocket knife?) and may not have even intended to kill but that was the end result.
It is reasonably busy late at night, a lot of taxis. It's the major route back home from the city for a large chunk of the lower north shore and northern beaches. You are correct in that you can wait a while to cross at those lights. Even Watson St itself is reasonably busy, it's only one of a...
Was thinking again about the CCTV footage, and DJK was seen walking, then running up to Morgan, my initial thoughts were why would you run up to anyone who you didn't supposedly know. Perhaps he was not in fact running up to Morgan as such, but was just running up to the lights to cross the...
My understanding was the MH had never actually crossed Ben Boyd Rd. He was outside the Oaks on the Oaks side of the street. Paced up and down a few times, walked around the corner into Military Rd and walked towards Watson St.
DJK was seen walking past Vinnes, would have walked up the the...
Maisy's is open 24/7.
My train of thought was even though a place my close at 12am, kitchen staff my still be there washing up, doing prep for the next day. It's not impossible that if DJK had been working somewhere that night to finish up at 1.30am.
There was also mention that DJK was seen on CCTV walking past Vinnies before he got to that corner. Vinnies is further up Military Rd away from the Oaks and opposite direction to Watson St.
I don't recall ever seeing the kitchen staff. The wait staff at the 24/7 cafe general wear jeans and a black thirst from memory. I'm definitely going to be paying attention as walk past these places now to see what the staff are wearing.
There is one particular cafe that is open 24/7. Often when I have been walking home after midnight, some places are closed but you can still see staff in there cleaning up etc.
Have been pondering a few things with these few more snippets of info in the media the past couple of days.
I still think DJK killed him, despite what he has told police. Thinking more about the knife, and as discussions have been about a relatively short knife, perhaps it was some sort of...
