GUILTY Australia - Robert, 66, & Cheryl Adamson, 60, murdered, Murrumbeena, Vic, 19 Feb 2014

Don't worry about offending me by talking about this. Regardless of how I know Tom, I fully support locking up double-homicide suspects and throwing away the key in general. I'm not here to try to defend Tom or his actions. He did what he did, admitted to it, and should face the consequences of...

GUILTY Australia - Robert, 66, & Cheryl Adamson, 60, murdered, Murrumbeena, Vic, 19 Feb 2014

I disagree with this opinion. For one, those with Aspergers are more likely to play video games for extended time, so it becomes a numbers situation. If there was an issue with people with Aspergers playing video games, a larger percentage of people with Aspergers would have blurred lines...

GUILTY Australia - Robert, 66, & Cheryl Adamson, 60, murdered, Murrumbeena, Vic, 19 Feb 2014

Aspergers, and possibly other non-neurotypical conditions in his extended family (don't believe there is anything in his immediate family). Nothing like mental illness or anything.

GUILTY Australia - Robert, 66, & Cheryl Adamson, 60, murdered, Murrumbeena, Vic, 19 Feb 2014

I couldn't say the exact age, but I believe it was when he was young. Related conditions exist in his family, and Tom didn't have as much trouble forming relationships compared to some individuals with Aspergers, so I assume the diagnosis was put in more of an observatory situation than...

GUILTY Australia - Robert, 66, & Cheryl Adamson, 60, murdered, Murrumbeena, Vic, 19 Feb 2014

Quick Update: Tom is scheduled for a plea hearing on Monday, October 13th.

I haven't heard much. I think I heard something about the trial being in October, but I don't have anything to verify that with.

That would be my best guess. I'll be sure to post over the next couple days if I get the details as to why.

What I know so far: He plead guilty. I don't think they have released the motive yet. And the directions hearing is scheduled for June 27.

Update for those interested: the committal mention is scheduled for June 13th. Also, as far as I know, Tom is no longer a suspect in the arson cases.

GUILTY Australia - Robert, 66, & Cheryl Adamson, 60, murdered, Murrumbeena, Vic, 19 Feb 2014

I find the history of arson to be especially surprising, and I'm curious to know what exactly he set on fire. I was told that over the past year, Tom was sorting his life out from a bit of a rough patch 5 or so years ago (who doesn't have a rough patch in their teens?), so this extremely violent...

I understand. I just wanted to vouch for his parents, who are genuinely good and loving people. Very little information has been leaked to the press regarding this case. To prevent any legal issues against me, I will say a few vague things. First of all, Tom does have a medical condition...

It's an old post but, while I understand your skepticism, please do not suggest that Colleen is at any way at fault for Tom's actions. As someone very close to the Hemming family, I can assure you that Colleen has always been as supportive to Tom as any mother could possibly have been, still...
