The death certificate should have the DOB, right? Not sure this was discussed at all given the amount of discussion, but it seems like getting the DOB wouldn't be a big problem.
1996 was well into the age of laser printers -- I believe inkjets were just starting up but more expensive.
in any event, the information added to this certificate would have almost certainly been done on a typewriter in 1996. if you didn't reprint the entire certificate, then it would have...
if one uses your nic, the most obvious explanation for the certificate is the hope that the instructor, pilot, or someone else associated with the business *or class* would come forward with information. it's a very specific document.
the unknowns from the investigation are nearly as...
and the context of the home schooling is kind of important, too, and will affect results. i think that odd "e" is still an important clue for the kind of schooling she received as a child.
The former CNA number belonging to a Mallon corporation is interesting, not sure of it's true value.
But, as I noted in the long thread, if you go to that library in PA potentially singled out by the partial phone number, and search for Mallon from the library's address, you find some...
I believe it was established that those gaps didn't appear until later and may have been the result of illness, side-effects from certain drugs, or perhaps a side-effect of childbirth(??). Earlier pictures did not show gaps as I recall.
A very interesting and helpful post, ClaireNC. I noticed that she also seemed to "arc" her notes -- the sequence with Hollywood, records, and the library are one such arc. Or perhaps that is an example of the grouping you are referring to.
Thanks for the clarification, Claire. Sorry I misread that -- I just remember here in NC the thefts of license machines was a cottage industry before they changed the procedure.
Another option, I guess, is that she didn't know how to drive when she got the Idaho ID, though that would seem...
More legs for this thread. There's a lot of cult speculation to get through -- possible but I think it is a bit of a long shot. I agree there is some resemblance between JEK and "the mother" -- certainly in the ears, though the cheekbones don't seem a great fit.
A few other comments:
1) The...
Jasper Everett Goddard was arrested on July 3 during a traffic stop in Missouri for the April Rhodes case. An arrest warrant had been issued due to a DNA match.
astrokitty (as an aside, you have the most varied and interesting information!) i was thinking that work in that time frame, mid-80s, in NV brothels might not have needed all of the personal info and fingerprints. as to the PA library, a call to a library that small just seems out of place for...
A couple of geographical notes: 1) Boulder City is in Nevada, not Colorado. Is it possible that in addition to the SoCal/Hollywood angle that perhaps this woman worked at a brothel in Nevada before changing her name? Would have to do some research on if that makes sense for the early-mid 80s...
impressive thread. i saw the story and expected something here -- just not this monster!
1) the poster that posited drug/*advertiser censored*/prostitution angles due to the N Hollywood references -- i agree.
2) i really like the kim mallon guess for a lot of reasons. if you do a geographic search near the PA...
Strong post, SD.
The point that many cannot conceive of a parent doing such a thing to their own children is very important. These very unfortunate things do happen and when trying to solve a case these kind of acts cannot be set aside because some find them uncomfortable or inconceivable...
