I'm not sure I'm buying the "accident" but why hasn't LE charged anyone with Mariah's murder? They found her body under water and believe EK put her there so why not charge. I believe there must be some question of what happened in that home on early Monday morning. JMO

I don't see LE giving anyone a break if they were involved in killing a 3 y/o. Not even a grieving mother. Maybe there is something to the accident theory. I thought when LE found Mariah's body they would high tale it to the magistrates office to get a murder warrant but that didn't happen...
I thought the bond was high for the charges against Kimrey. Absolutely appropriate for a murder, but not sure for obstruction, moving a body and possessing stolen $40 nightstands. JMO

There is one "legit" scrap business here but more that are not. I put them in the category of some pawnshops, those that all the addicts know and know that it will be "no questions asked", quick cash, see u next time". Where there's a will there's a way. JMO

I've been trying to figure why EK would go to the dilapidated abandoned house to find something to sell. I still have no clue about the dressers but he could have been looking for copper to sell. That's a big thing here and if he had worked in HVAC he would know how to find it and how to remove...
Notieriety. This case has already gotten a great deal of press this week so maybe he's trying to get some of that press for himself. JMO

I don't see someone who just killed his girlfriends 3 yo stopping to steal anything, least of all this cheap furniture. Not even if there isn't a stick of furniture in the whole mobile home. MOO

I believe from the arrest warrant the 2 dressers together have a value of $40. That's $20 each. Also when you're stealing something for drug money it has to be something you can turn over quickly and like another posted up thread what dealer would take 2 raggedy dressers for drugs. I'm leaning...
The sheriff may know what he's doing but his demeanor while he's READING his prepared statement says otherwise. Maybe while gaining his vast experience and training he should have included public speaking.

Or they only have the immediate family's word that she was alive and well during that time frame. My guess would be that LE doesn't completely trust the family's version of what transpired during their return home. JMO

Respectfully I disagree with this. I think LE would want the POI(s) to think they have tons of evidence, found dna, blood, whatever. Then the POI would think if I confess now maybe I won't get the DP. Or maybe LE told them that, show us the body and maybe we can work with you.
I think that's a stall tactic because he doesn't want the public to know that they're the number one POI. If pushed he could just say, "I didn't know. They could be being interrogated, could be taking a polygraph, anything."
