When BL flew back to FL and left her in a hotel in SLC, where was the van and/or van keys? Meaning did he drive it to airport or leave it with her? But if it was with her, did she have the keys?

I wonder if he ever made it back to FL or someone met him en route and drove the van, allowing him to be anywhere by now.

I don’t believe any neighbors reported actually seeing BL back in FL. Someone could have gone and met him on the route and driven van back, leaving him anywhere. They wouldn’t have had to fly…. Drive, bus, etc

L Let’s put it this way... if Budget had to retrieve the car, there would be a penalty such as a one-way drop charge. Not just a standard digital receipt, minus that charge.

Not about her specific lease, but leases in general. I challenge anyone to find a lease where the mileage is checked monthly. ETA So her excuse of she was in essence running out of miles for the month, so had to take the truck, is bunk.

If you don’t refuel yourself, unless you’ve chosen the prepay option (which requires you to pay for a full tank, FYI), the rental companies do in fact charge $9+ per gallon.

Yes, for the pickup. And since there wasn’t a one-way drop fee, or charges per mile, the logical inference is that the car was returned to COS too.

Unless you prepay, which requires paying for an entire tank, if you don’t refuel yourself and return the car full, the charge is appx $10 per gallon. This is standard across rental companies. (Frequent business traveler here.)

It means the car’s gas tank was 8/8 full when she took it and 0/8 full when she returned it. This aligns with her being charged $118ish in fuel charges, as is stated above.
