I didn't see a suggestion they may have headed up into Canada, but given that it's only 8-9 hours away and the Amber Alert took that long to come out, is there any chance they were missed at the border?

I recently completed reading the Steve Jackson book, "Bogeyman", and decided to map out Penton's abduction and "dump sites" for each of the crimes he's convicted of. It's probably just another observation that would be ignored in a folder somewhere, but Penton always seemed to travel north east...
