More disturbing details about his past violence and a little more detail about the relationships and car.

Ridiculous IMO that he was even free to do these things. 2 year sentence for a rape/abuse situation, somewhere between 0-6 years for attempted murder. Sure seems like the system failed here.
He has a surprisingly small paper trail online. I was able to find him on a people finder site with the town where his son and ex live, but even then the only thing that showed up was an old address. I was going to search the Calcasieu Parish court records (where Sulphur is located) to see what...
Also kind of talking to myself here, but I had another theory about this 1995 incident. I believe her older sister Amy was living in this county (Tarrant) at one point. I wonder if her or her husband, or the PI that was hired, asked a friend in Hurst PD to simply run her name to see if anything...
Bumping this. Looks like Missie hasn't been around in a while. Any new updates?
I came across Deanna's case while searching for local ones on WS. I've read through all 4 threads and think I'm all caught up now. Had a couple comments / questions.
- Skip does not seem like a standup guy. He has...
Just came across this case and read through. Sad she still hasn't been found for sure.
Also wanted to add, that looking back through Shasta Co records, it seems she may have had some substance abuse issues. There was a case back in 98 that she completed drug education for, and then in the 09...
Question for Lake:
It's never made sense to me that an experienced trafficker would take the risk of snatching someone like Sherri off the street while jogging. However, I have a theory that it could have been some fairly inexperienced criminals who were not involved in trafficking themselves...
They're not huge, but I'm not sure I'd call either small counties. Shasta has about 180k people, and Yolo has about 200k. Plus I'm sure they can call on the assistance of the CBI and FBI if they feel they need it.
I have to admit, even though she looks young, I'm still skeptical any _seasoned_ sex traffickers would abduct someone like her off the street. They may be horrible people, but I think they're smart enough to know that taking any pretty, blonde woman off the street in a suburban or rural area...
I noticed that these two went to school in Woodland just a few miles from where Sherri Papini was found. I don't see any obvious connection, but the timing and geographical proximity does seem like a big coincidence. Hopefully they weren't somehow victims of the same abductors.
This is admittedly a little "out there" - but there _are_ a number of fringe Latino/Chicano nationalist groups operating in California. Their beliefs seem to vary, but in general they push for Reconquista, the idea that the American Southwest should be reconquered by Hispanics and returned to...
I'd have to see a transcript, but I got the impression that they weren't releasing any details about where she was taken, rather than they didn't know them. Also, you think they'd _at least_ know where she was abducted from. I'd imagine Sherri would at least be able to provide that. If they...
I found it interesting that the investigators said they were looking at other cases across the country for similarities. If they knew it was personal, I don't see any reason they'd need to do that. Combined with the branding being labeled a message, the former FBI agent they interviewed...
Not to keep beating a dead horse, but the sheriff did specifically say that it was not a symbol. That combined with him saying it was a message, I can only imagine it was a name, word, or words.
