Lori Ruff Identified as Kimberly McLean of PA

I have thought exactly what you are suggesting. Later, she used the name to further her change. As a young girl, she may have never realized she was breaking the law and all the ramifications that come with the act. I wonder if she ever worked and had a SS# under her real name. She must have had...

Lori Ruff Identified as Kimberly McLean of PA

Possibly she knew and was trying to get something from his estate. Maybe that was the reason for the attorney and he couldn't help her so he recommended someone else. She may have been digging for information about his holdings.

I have gotten that vibe from my inlaw on the Main Line. She has to remind us of all the private schools she attended in that area. I am from TX and my cousin went to Temple and later did a residency there. I loved going to visit him and interacting with all the Italian families he became close...

Lori Ruff Identified as Kimberly McLean of PA

I have in-laws in both areas. Wynnewood is exactly how you have stated. Lower Merion is part of the "Main Line" which my one in-law likes to throw around when she speaks of where she lives. "We are on the Main Line and it's so expensive here." Lots of history to it. Wynecote is more middle to...

Lori Ruff Identified as Kimberly McLean of PA

I was thinking that it was her bio dad she was in touch with, thus, the boxes. There is no mention of him in the story because the DNA was connecting her to her mother and that side of the family. No mention has been made of the sister which is interesting. She may have felt that she needed to...

Mail fraud is under the US Postal Service. USPS would be in charge and they have different investigators.

I've been married in Texas and Maryland. Both times I had to provide my birth certificate and on the records, it states everything from my birth certificate.

I'm betting that for getting a gun is getting prints. I'm not saying certainly yes, but it's easily checked. I was a law student/clerk in the 80s and yes, for a name change, the judge would order this, mainly for the crime part. I am in TX, don't own a gun but my father did and I will ask as...

When there is doubt, fingerprints are collected to match to the weapon. You make a good point that the gunshot was so destructive that she could not be identified as well. The fact that she used a gun to take her life has always bothered me because women do not tend to take their lives in such a...

The bump on her forehead looks like a plate or something inserted from an injury. I say this because I went to school with a girl who, in the first grade, was in a horrid accident and had some thing similar on her forehead. Over the years, she had other surgeries because as she grew, the area...

I feel the same way; it's a family's business. Lots of people would like to know, but are just bystanders. What has been troubling me is that a photo of a child was plucked from someplace and is now circulating on FB. No one has a clue if that child could be put in harms way because of someone...

I have followed this for a while, due to living in TX and having a close friend who did something similar after her daughter was born. I won't go into those details, but understand why the family would want to protect the privacy of the child. My opinion is exactly like yours. There is a child...

I have the Classmates account and there are all kinds of yearbooks on there to look through. In colleges and universities, not everyone takes a photo which goes into the book; in my university, it was not mandatory. So someone could attend, be a student for the four years, and never appear in...

My husband and I are professors in TX. Normally, to verify a student, one needs the SS number to verify graduation and/or attendance.

GUILTY TX - Haruka Weiser, 18, found murdered, UT-Austin campus, 3 April 2016 *Arrest*

Students don't really go down into the creek. There is water down there. I believe that one side is more like a bank but there aren't tunnels there.

I agree with you. Something good must come of this in some way. Just a few months ago, this area was completely underwater so there are others ways to that part of campus. I'm hoping that more lights are installed, cameras are put into place, and the UTPD bike patrols are more visible here.
