Australia Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #11

I agree 100%...it's seems that now that WAPOL have charged him with the rape in 95 and the murders in 96/97 we actually should be looking at unsolved murders/rapes/missing persons from then on. Highly unlikely that he stopped after CG imo. If he didn't stop then he certainly moved areas, if so...

After reading several books on the Peter Sutcliffe over the last couple of months it wouldn't surprise me if he had never stopped. The police during the Yorkshire Ripper killings dismissed many killings from across England because they weren't in the general area of West Yorkshire even though...

Because the police have clearly laid out the clothes that she had with her that night as the picture shows????

While I agree with you on the above I remember reading in the KT murder investigation that the person in the car called out her name, she then talked to the person and got in. If he was the perp in this case perhaps he had to cross that line as he could have been identified? Article here where...

Not 100% correct, the sealed asphalt ended not far past the CG dump site. The road then turned to a hard based limestone track before it started to become softer and then eventually sand dunes. Only the most serious 4x4 would attempt to go over the dunes. This spot was fairly busy with...

The more I think about it the evidence linking him to these cases must be so strong that WAPOL haven't bothered to interview him for too long and charged him immediately.

Bart based on what was discussed in the major thread I'd like to know if he was Telstra (Telecom) worker and if he was familiar with the site because of his work

Bart Thanks that was interesting. Entirely possible that fibre transfer occurred but I am sceptical about this evidence. Do WAPOL have a suspect but in someway need the public to place them in this vehicle?

What amount of fibres would normally come away from the seat normally in "normal" use??

3 for me……but I don’t think that he just met them on the night of their disappearance/death. The ability for this person to simply melt into the fabric of the pub/club scene at the time and the surrounding suburbs is his biggest asset. Was he known to them to be considered...

The degrees of separation within Perth's western suburbs is tiny. Connections through school/work/parents/sports all seems much closer than other areas. Money looks after money

The commodore fibres are a telling piece of evidence imo.......it could possibly be the thing that has diverted attention away from LW. If they cant place him in that vehicle without an elaborate back story (his parents garage was servicing one, main roads had them available for staff, he hired...

<modsnip> I believe that LW gave his DNA?? Can anyone confirm

    Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #5

I don't see why it simply couldn't be a confident guy who was a well known "face" in that scene who had either been chatting to the girls on the night or have seen them around enough to be recognised by them. If I am to believe that LW is the prime suspect then I'd need to ignore all that has...

I agree 100% I don't see why people think it would be a stretch for someone who knew the girls to pull up and say "hi xxxxxx where are you heading, jump in I'll give you a lift home" no screaming or tussle in the street for that to occur. Quick detour to quiet area and attack/assault occurs.

Been reading through old posts, Marmion wasn’t sent through to Yanchep until 2008 (or at least that’s when it opened) it was extended from Quinns Rd before this but only as Merriwa and Butler were developed. The only way to CG dump site was off Wanneroo Road…..unless we want to assume that the...

I'm still amazed that WAPOL didn't just pin it on someone and run with it to the DPP. That had been their MO for many years and even up to the events in Claremont this is how WAPOL conducted most of their high profile cases. We saw a return to that with the Rayney murder. I also cant believe...

    Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #5

That school of thought could apply to Perth in that era......especially with local radio DJ's and people that would have been singing in bands etc. that were semi famous and still front and centre in the local pub/club scene. Some still appear on TV to this day. If they didn't know their killer...

To say that there was a clique amongst the patrons at the Claremont pub/clubs would be an understatement. It was the domain of the local or regular. Largely speaking if you didn't live around there you didn't go. I've always believed that the person(s) responsible for these crimes were known to...
