It sounds like CPS or a state agency gave custody of her daughter to her parents. Her parents were subject to a court order requiring they not be in contact with her. It’s not that rare and I completely understand why they didn’t want to jeopardize their custody agreement. MOO

MOO but this sounds like a man in her life who she had rejected romantically. He was furious with her for being engaged to someone else, so he stalked her and pounced at the right opportunity. All just my musings.

If she has a smart watch she can speak to call. Actually most phones you can speak to dial too, and smart speakers in the home. I’d guess he left the room for even a brief moment for her to be able to quietly speak to talk into her device. MOO
