Mary Ellen Cobb, 58, on Thursday held a photo of her daughter, Tina Marie Crouch, framed with a note written by Cobb. It read, “Though I cannot see you, my thoughts are with you every day. I will never give up and I will never quit looking for you. Love, Your Mama.“
Cobb said her daughter came home that April day in 1991 with black eyes. Crouch put on her mother’s coat, the same one in the picture the sheriff’s office has of her, and went to the store.
“Then she just disappeared,” Cobb said.
Mueller said during the news conference there has been no activity on Crouch’s Social Security card since she disappeared in 1991, no tax returns filed.
Crouch sometimes hitchhiked, and had been arrested in Spartanburg a few times, Cobb said. She has never given up on her daughter.
“I couldn’t keep her from doing what she wanted to do,” Cobb said. “I’ve been trying to find her for all these years. I think someone knows where she is.”

Human remains found in Cherokee Co.

Maybe???

Human remains were found Thursday afternoon near Mullinax Circle in Cherokee County.

The Blacksburg Police Chief told 7News that a skull and other bones were found.

Deputies were seen searching an area off of Ragan Trail near Whisonant Road with K-9’s and ATV’s.

We have reached out to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and Cherokee County Coroner’s Office for details.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.
