I think the sheriff is just being very careful and professional and not confirming anything he doesn’t know is a fact yet. So even if they both appear to have been killed with a gun, that’s not a fact until the autopsy says so. He’s not going to say it’s an abduction because he can’t prove it...
If there were an older boyfriend locally, someone would know and they would have tracked him down already. IF this is a “boyfriend” he’d have to be someone she met online.
Although my legal expertise is pretty much limited to cop shows, I am fairly certain I have heard the phrase "kidnapping is a federal offense" so I would think the FBI would still be involved...and actually, I wonder why the FBI isn't the agency doing press conferences instead of the sherriff's...
Ok this is a stretch but so is everything we really have to talk about. I wonder if it's possible this is connected at all to Kristy Porter. Petite mom vanishes without a trace 3 hours away...
There are obviously things that are hinky with CG. It does not mean at all that he is a terrible person. I've known lots of people who are relatively harmless but like to overstate their own importance. But people are here to sleuth, so obviously those inconsistencies about him are going to come...
So Bethel's description of Cameron and Jen on their website says "Cameron’s been training the U.S. Military Special Ops community on survival tactics since shortly after September 11, 2001." Project Taken, on FB, says he JOINED the military right after 9/11. .....Um, yeah, the military is...
I get that people want info but gosh New York Post why don't you just draw the kidnappers a map to where the Papinis are...(and if they had one I am sure they would publish it.)
Lots of comments on KPs pinterest- thought that was against TOS. Someone way back said the press release "didn't sound like" KP. If we've only known him since this case started we have no idea what he sounds like.
I'm not saying it's the case here, but I do wonder- is it legal for the sheriff to tell flat out falsehoods...like in this imaginary scenario, if the kidnapper were a male and they DID have the right kind of vehicle on video, is there any precedent for a sheriff to publicly lie because he is hot...
Is there someone that works with law enforcement here? I'm trying to understand how the fact that KP released those details of her injuries might compromise the case. I mean, we've all seen TV shows where a suspect is tripped up when they reveal a fact that hasn't been released to the...
