I don't know about RAF personnel, but a lot of USAF rent privately in the town. I have two neighbours who are USAF and I also own a property which has been rented solely to USAF personnel. Both my houses are in the Medieval Grid.
It is very well lit at night and I never feel unsafe walking through there at any time. I feel more apprehensive walking past Poundland even during the day. (I'm sure any other locals on here will know what I mean!).
The Risbygate Street address is the office/treatment centre.
Accom in town is as follows:
24 Crown Street - 5 persons (1 twin room, 3 single rooms)
8 Out Northgate - 3 persons (1 twin room, 1 single room)

Robert Boby Way parking is restricted to 1 hour between 9am & 5pm Monday to Friday and if his vehicle was parked in disabled bay, then very likely to get ticketed.

Depending on how well he knows the area, you can also walk through the back entrance of the Black Boy pub on St Andrews St and through one of the little alleys in the area. I walk through to Waitrose via College Lane and then through the pub yard. It's quicker than walking up through the town.
The CCTV seems to be compressed somehow! The traffic island and the roundabout sign in the background on the CCTV are an awfully long way down Risbygate Street. Half of the left hand side of the road seems to be missing!
The parking on Robert Boby Way is a long lay-by with parking for around 12 vehicles. It's always very difficult to get a space as it's free parking from 9 - 5 for 1 hour and probably the only free parking area in the town in the evening.
