Is that a statement? I haven't heard anything about the vehicle being recovered.

I didn't attend Curtin, but attended another uni between 1994 and 1998. I had several friends in the Comp. Sci. and Eng. faculty at Curtin. From memory, all undergrads had a @student.curtin.edu.au, and post-grads and faculty staff had @cs.curtin.edu.au addresses.

Hang in there - they authorise reports manually and it this time of year you can expect delays.

By any chance, does this person now have the initials SM, with a Scottish surname?

It's a bit of a leap, but theoretically, if you'd committed crimes with a white Commodore wagon (let's say he used his Telstra car) and a blue Datsun or Gemini, would it make sense to also privately own near-identical cars that you hadn't committed the crimes with? Then, when the police come...

E**** (with an 'e' instead of a 'u') is a female name, most likely Malaysian.

I can't say for certain, but I have worked with people from the same Telstra team as BE, and "programmer" refers to someone who programmed telephone systems (PABX, and later IPTel). It doesn't mean programmer in the traditional sense. Programming phone systems requires attention to detail and...

My gut feeling (and based on one of the comments on the Gosnells reunion Facebook page) is that he was probably bullied a bit at school. When I was at school in the 80s calling someone a "bog" was slightly derogatory. It was possibly a shortening of "bogan", but had a slightly different...

Thanks, but that's the Cyril Ayris article that the original poster claimed said that the kimono was stolen from Victoria Clarke's murder scene (it doesn't say that). Thanks, but no, same one. I was hoping the person claiming that the kimono was stolen from Victoria Clarke can provide the...

Thanks, but no. Someone is claiming that an article says the kimono was stolen from the Victoria Heather Clarke murder and it was then dropped at the 1988 Huntingdale location. I don't believe that any article claims that.

Can you find a copy of the article? The only one that I've read (and the one the original poster quoted from The West Australian) did not say the kimono was stolen from the Clarke murder. It simply said the kimono was stolen and police were investigating that the kimono might provide a...

From street view it looks like this building has a basement or lower level. There seems to be a covered entrance to the left of the stairs.

What's wrong is that it has "Cat Bra" at the beginning. http://1mc8511ob3uc397k3v2p939j.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/cat-wearing-a-bra.jpg

Nowhere in the article does it state that the kimono was stolen from the Victoria Heather Clarkes murder scene. <modsnip>

I don't think it's significant. Most of the other possibilities don't roll as easily off the tongue. "Bra" can't go at the end because, as an item of women's clothing, it would sound odd. That leaves: bracatvin (bra-cat doesn't roll - you have to pause slightly after the "bra") catbravin (cat...

Yes, that's my belief. The woman who committed suicide is obviously a victim of someone, maybe even the CSK, but not the 1988 victim.

I don't think it would be ethical to post a link or her name, sorry. I can promise you that what I've posted is factually accurate. The woman who committed suicide was born in 1967, as per her obituaries.

There seem to be a few problems with that person being the 1988 victim. One of her daughters mentions the year of her mother's attack as being 1985. The CSK victim was 18 in 1988 whereas the person who committed suicide was 21 in 1988. Also, if I've understood the reports correctly, the 1988...
