    Yes incredible work and shows you how much we don't know. The article says the car was seized the same day as BE's arrest...they were really zooming in on this suspect. Well done and luckily DoT still had ownership records to trace and the car hadn't been scrapped. I reckon he's gone as in BE!

    My neighbour is a prison officer and BE is monitored 24 hours a day and on suicide watch. This is why I am not convinced the DNA match was done prior to his arrest. The slightest chance if anything got back to him that a relative had given a sample or test to the Police is just too risky to me...

    I was referring to being a suspect in the 1988 case. He wasn't with EE then and they had already separated when they connected DNA evidence from this to 1995 and CG so wouldn't be speaking to EE about this.

    I'm sure people would have noticed a work van around the vicinity of this time and I don't recall that ever being brought up so I think highly unlikely he was doing it this way.

    Do you have any ideas how they would do this and not to make it suspicious? You are not obliged to give a DNA sample without court order (I think) or they must request it from you.

    I honestly think he has only come on the radar due to the Police looking back at old cases and in particular the 1988 attempted rape and making the connection there. His wife CG now separated still has a picture of him on Facebook so seems odd to do that and then report him and I'm pretty sure...
