Does anyone else find it strange that his phone was found on his body? Had he stowed the phone in a zipper pocket of his jacket or something? How did it remain 40 days in the river on his person? Seems to me he would be texting and looking at his phone the whole way home. That's probably what I...
Bottom line...if it doesn't make sense, it isn't true. If this gets chalked up as another "accidental" fall into the river, the investigators are dropping the ball big time.
I still can't imagine that a fall from the river's edge would result in death. Even if I was a bit inebriated, you can guarantee I'd be pulling myself out of that water as fast as I went in! Even if I had to paddle along the edge for a grip somewhere--Especially at 23. I'm in my 40s, and I KNOW...
I can totally get behind this theory. It is the most logical explanation. As another poster above said, at that age, and with a few drinks under my belt, I'd be looking for one last drink before heading home. I have never been along the river at night. Is it well lit? Even so, it would not be...
I agree with other posters about the Uber question. Why not grab an Uber? It would have been around 6 bucks. At that hour and having to work the next morning, it just seems odd that he would bother trying to catch the T, let alone hoofing it home if he missed it.
I went for my run today along the river on the North Side, over the Clemente Bridge and over to Katz Plaza. Such a beautiful day. I can't imagine how he could accidentally end up in the river. My boyfriend was with me. He is 6'5", and the bridge rail falls a few inches below his shoulder. To get...
It is doubtful that there would be open spaces to fall through even during construction. I am a union ironworker in Pittsburgh. It is unheard of to leave holes uncovered that anyone could fall through--even during construction. I sure hope that's not the case!
That picture of him was taken at Katz Plaza just a few feet from the entrance to a skinny dark alley and the entrance to a parking garage. I live right up the street from where he disappeared. I hope there are answers for his family soon
I agree-- he appears alert and looks like he has a strong, steady stride. I don't think he was planning on hooking up with anyone else that evening. His father says he was very conscientious and never missed a day of work. By this time of night he must have been heading home. Whatever happened...
