It seemed like the officer was trying to symbolically say, "We know you had sex with her! HERE'S that vagina you loved so much!"

Gerry Koob said that an officer taunted him by leaving the room and returning with a newspaper that he opened to reveal what he said was Sister Cathy's vagina. Gerry said that he could never forgive the officer for that.

As far as the two uncles.....
My instinct tells me that only ONE (if any) of the stories from the uncles are the truth.
I could see Edgar as a person who likes to insert himself into drama and try to make himself look like a badass by telling stories about how he murdered someone, even if he...
It wasn't clear how many of Jane Doe's memories were repressed memories and how many were memories she always knew were there; but she refused to allow herself to think about for most of her life. I got the feeling that most of them were ones that she did remember, but wouldn't acknowledge to...
Gerry Koob seemed incredibly sincere to me. I do believe that he loved Cathy and is still devastated over her death, even after all these years. His eyes looked so honest and had so much pain behind them. He and Cathy may have been having a sexual relationship, but he probably would have felt...
I've seen many true crime shows where serial rapists progress to killing -- either purposely or because they felt like they had to shut the victim/victims up quickly.
This could be a serial rapist who wanted to up his thrill by adding murder to the equation or he may have only planned to rape...
This is exactly what I think happened. If the crime had occurred in the morning, then I'd be more likely to suspect that he knew school was out that day. I think it's just like you said that he did go there looking for victims, but he just sort of waited around to see who showed up in the...
Even though I mentioned that it may be significant, I also do agree with you that many married people don't wear their wedding rings. I myself have been married over 25 years, but I don't wear my ring. My husband always wore his ring, until recently when his finger swelled up so badly that it...
It sure looks like a hand to me! I saw the picture on the last page of this thread and back-tracked to see if everyone else was mentioning it. Would this be the left or right hand? If left, it's significant that there's no wedding ring.
ETA: After looking at the full picture again, I see what...
But, BG is a middle-aged man. That's the one physical characteristic that LE has publicly released. I suppose it's not unheard of that a man 45+ years would have a teenaged girlfriend, but it's unlikely and also against the law, unless she's at least the age of consent -- not that BG cares about...
We never get to see the profile? I thought I had seen it released to the public in previous cases, but I could be wrong.

I think a lot of the real murderers got away with their crimes in the past, because LE was more concerned with convicting anyone they could pin the murder on -- just to get the public off their back and to keep their stats looking good. I've seen a lot of this type of shady police work on the...
I really wish I knew what their suspicions were, but I don't go on any other SM to talk about the case (Because, I don't really know where to look) and I know we can't discuss it here.

MP's statement made me think that he doesn't know (suspect) if the killer is local or from across the country, since he mentions both "state" and "nation." He's, basically, saying that the killer could be anywhere in the country when he uses the word "nation."

He sure does have a lot of crap under that jacket. It makes me think either one of these theories is correct:
1. He was out hunting for victims that day (whether he knew they would be there or not) and brought all the supplies he would need for his premeditated attack.
2. He's homeless and...
I never thought there was a deeper meaning to LE talking about a "twist" than the fact that Libby recorded the killer. That, in itself, is a pretty big twist.

"Talk their victim into what has been described as their comfort zone..." This sounds like BG coercing the girls to go "down the hill."

I agree. I would also suggest that he's not a highly educated Hoosier. He doesn't sound like a professor from Purdue or a scientist from Eli Lilly, for instance.
ETA: He sounds like more of a redneck Hoosier.

Absolutely! This is what I have believed all along. Without further evidence to make friends and family think that BG is guilty, most wouldn't actually report him, just because they kind of saw a resemblance. Unless he's a known criminal, people probably don't suspect him.
