According to the GBI site, a Superior Court Judge or the Governor of Georgia could also request an investigation by the GBI. They may have better luck with the Governor. This case definitely needs to be reviewed by the GBI. You would think LE would be happy for an assist from another agency at...
Oh I must have missed those posts. Fairburn is right under Atlanta. It does not take long to get there at all, its a straight shot on the highway too. This would be a quick dumping ground for anyone on the south side. :(
Thank you for posting that article. Is it me, or are the last pings at 7:15 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. in Fairburn new information? Isn't one of the men from the timeline in Fairburn?
I wonder if this case is still really open? The Richmond County Sheriff's Department missing persons site does not have her listed. All the Augusta missing persons cases ought to be listed there. Missing Persons - Richmond County Sheriff's Office
I cannot find any information on Timothy's disappearance other than the barest details in NamUs. I can't even find a mention of his disappearance in the Augusta Chronicle archives. What happened to you, Timothy?
There is an update on that article now. I don't believe it is Jenna. The article states that an investigator says, "it is highly unlikely we will ever be able to identify them". Surely they would be able to extract DNA out of bones, so if it was Jenna they would know because I am pretty sure...
Hi Scriptgirl, I wish I could post a link to the article. I had to pay to use the archive at the Augusta Chronicle for it. You can access it there though. They have 20 articles about her in the archive. The only name included in the news was the name of the friend she was last seen with who...
Hi everyone, My name is Em but screenname 'Trying' on here works fine for me. I have a family and work full time in the technology sector, but I am deeply fascinated by true crime. I have a hard time understanding the motivations behind vicious criminals. Not having closure and not seeing any...
I believe the killer was familiar with the area. He/she had to feel comfortable enough there to not only pull a body out of a vehicle but also set it on fire. Perhaps they worked at the auto place at some point, or perhaps they lived in the neighborhood or were there often for some reason.
I always hate to think it is the family, or someone in the family, because I just cannot wrap my head around how someone could do something like that. However, this sounds very much like the Mariah Woods case that just happened this year. I lost a lot of sleep over that case. I was so sure she...
Here is a recent write up about this case. I hope her identity is determined soon, so her parents can have closure. It has been 30 years now!

Hi all, couple things:
As far as I can tell, there is still no update on the remains found by the Brick Ponds. I haven't seen anything in the Augusta Chronicle at least that mentions an identification.
Carrie Sutherland has never bothered to respond to my emails or call about a separate NamUs...
Given her age, I do not believe that she has left voluntarily and not made contact with anyone, not even her closest friends. If she has chosen to run away, someone is aiding her.
One possible scenario, she has been taken by sex traffickers, which is actually a major problem here in GA...
