Mystery couple murdered in South Carolina, 1976 - #6

Hi everyone! It has been a long, long time since I've posted on here, but I haven't forgotten about this case or the people involved with helping to solve it. I was doing some research and came across the name of a Canadian doctor, Jacques Ferron. Dr. Ferron was born in 1921 and died in April...

If the DNA testing was done back in August, how long exactly is "a few months"? That was 5 months ago.

Mystery couple murdered in South Carolina, 1976 - #6

Coincidentally, I found out today that one of the parents called off the search on August 9, 1976 which just happens to be the date that both kids were murdered. I've also been trying to look into the initials "JPF" that were on the ring that "John Doe" was wearing. So far, I can't find...

You're welcome! But I really think that most of the kudos has to go to others especially Tear Drop for his/her diligent pursuit of this with amazing information. I am extremely confident that Michael and Cordelia are John and Jane Doe. Too many similarities. Too many dots that connect. The...

Mystery couple murdered in South Carolina, 1976 - #6

One last article from September 1976 in which Cordelia's father said that he believed the boat they were sailing may have been hijacked by smugglers who he believed were holding his daughter and son-in-law captives to sail the vessel. It says in the same article that the FBI launched an...

Mystery couple murdered in South Carolina, 1976 - #6

This article is from August 1976 and it mentions how Cordelia's father, Mark Sheehan, worked for the Department of Justice at the time. Here it is: http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=No5QAAAAIBAJ&sjid=2hEEAAAAIBAJ&pg=5949,1553560&dq=michael+and+cordelia+mcminn&hl=en

Here is another newspaper article from July 1976 with a picture of Michael and Cordelia's boat and Michael and Cordelia: http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=HyEyAAAAIBAJ&sjid=suUFAAAAIBAJ&pg=4714,4364126&dq=michael+and+cordelia+mcminn&hl=en

Another article from July 1976 in which Cordelia McMinn supposedly wrote to her father and said, "Don't worry until 45 days have passed". Hmm, that seems a bit peculiar to me. http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=sqswAAAAIBAJ&sjid=yPoDAAAAIBAJ&pg=2777,7729856&dq=michael+and+cordelia+mcminn&hl=en

This may or may not have been posted before, but this is a very good article and recent one (August 2012) about the case: http://www.singletonfamily.org/getperson.php?personID=I280980&tree=1

I'm going to be posting some old newspaper articles on here with links to them. Here is one from August, 1982 where the sheriff's Lt. Hugh A. Mathis says, "These kids smacked of money and influence."...

Hi everyone! It has been awhile since I posted on these boards. Today I went online and looked up some old newspaper articles from the late 1970s/early 1980s about these two missing people. One article from the early 1980s said that a man who was a mechanic believed he had done some auto work...

Hello, everyone! It has been awhile since I have posted here, but I still am keeping tabs on this case. I recently contacted a psychic who has assisted the police in the past in cold case investigations. I am giving her information about this case to see if she can possibly find anything about...

Mystery couple murdered in South Carolina, 1976 - #6

It has been awhile since I last posted on here. This case still haunts me and I've been doing a lot of thinking about this case. I think that the guy's name was "Jacques" and I believe the story about him being from Canada. I also think that the woman was from outside of the United...

http://www.senat.fr/senfic/fortier_marcel000451.html I found this website (link above) tonight. It is in French, but there was a prominent physician and senator named Marcel Fortier. He was born in 1920 and died in 1995. This guy came to political power in the 1970s and was on the budget...

Sorry. My mistake. I thought the name sounded familiar, but there have been so many names mentioned it's hard to remember them all.

Okay, this is a longshot here and it's been awhile since I posted, but I found this profile on Doe Network today: http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/2322dfqc.html Sylvie Ouimet. Missing since April 1975 from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was living with her parents at Laval and was...

According my research, Bulova has offices in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Switzerland. I'm not sure if those are the only places where the watches are distributed, but I still believe "Jock" was Canadian. This could be a huge clue. If he graduated from high school in 1969, maybe we could track...

http://www.finertimes.com/asp/articles/accutron.asp This article is about the history of Bulova Accutron yellow gold watches. I think there could have been an error on the serial number. Instead of H918801 I think that it could be M918801 which would have been distributed in 1969.

Sumter and the Darlington area is pretty rural. I don't know if this has any bearing on the law enforcement and judicial officials there, but it's a very rural area.
