I don't think he's conflating anything. He is just lying. He would like everyone to feel very sorry for him so he can continue to get away with murder. "I'm too screwed up to be responsible for my actions and this is why"
According to the channel 9 news just now the grandson has confessed to killing his grandmother. Such a sad thing to have happen. I confess, I don't have a lot of the details but the case has been on the news quite a lot.
I have been searching for some sort of confirmation and all I found was a statement in an article linked up thread here that says HE claims it. I will wait until I see some sort of confirmation because if it came from him, I'm sure it's a lie. Shades of OJ Simpson!
I'm looking forward to following this case and I hope there is a conviction. Also hoping for a televised trial. Does anyone know if they have a sunshine law in California? It's always helpful to be able to read the discovery and not have to rely solely on the media reports.
ITA. Wafer lied and it showed a consciousness of guilt. I think the jury did take this seriously and carefully tried to apply the laws of the state to the circumstances of the case. It wasn't about race at all.
I haven't been around much since the end of the travesty..um trial but popping in to make sure you all got this wonderful news. I'm glad you did and I want to join in the congratulations to LDB. They are a great team and I think JA chose very wisely.
Being from this district, I am looking...
According to the book Practical Crime Scene Processing and Investigation by Ross M. Gardner "intermediate range" is between 5 and 40 inches and that is deduced by the stippling around the entrance wound.
PS: I really miss our little smilies =o(
...and yet we are each entitled to our own opinion by the TOS of this wonderful forum. I truly don't understand why there is so much back and forth and quibbling over semantics and personal opinion with this case. Sometimes I have to look at the top of the page and make sure I'm still on...
BBM: All these could apply to that night. The nervous tic I saw at his bond hearing... that weird eye-roll blinky thing he was doing. If he had that side effect, he very easily could have had the others. IMO
My links went to the state laws stating that DUI with alcohol is the same as DUI with chemicals (meds). The same punishments that are listed in those statutes go for both. In the state of Florida you can't operate a car under the influence of anything. Your original question was why it...
Here is one: http://ncdd.com/duilawsinyourstate.php?location=Florida
and another: http://www.wefightforyou.com/DUIlaw.html
Both of these site Florida Statute. This state does not allow any impaired driving whether it is by prescription or not. It is about public safety.
We are off...
Here is a hypothetical situation:
A person falls and breaks their left arm. That person is in bad pain so the doctor legally prescribes Percocet for pain. The person takes their prescribed dose of Percocet, gets in the car to drive home and runs over a child on a bicycle. This person could...
I can't see them on the page either but if I right click and select view image in a new tab (or new window) it works for me. I am on a mac using safari as my browser. Hope that might help.
I would like to very respectfully ask you if you are saying that those who disagree with certain perspectives here aren't welcome to discuss their opinions in this thread? If so, I absolutely hate that this case has so divided this forum. We don't even have the discovery yet so for the most...
I'm pretty sure you will find several dozen pages of discussion on this up in the general threads. I'm not sure if you are just being funny but no, I don't think GZ got on one of the police officer's radios. I think he just told the officers he didn't want to be transported. Otherwise, I'm...
Quite simple really, guns and drugs = tragedy as is shown by this case. If you've ever lost someone to senseless violence, it's easier to understand.
This really is O/T so we'd best get back to this case. Thanks
We'll never know what Mr. Crump would have said because GZ sent the ambulance away that was called to take him to the hospital. Wonder why he did that if he was so injured that he feared for his life.
I am horrified that he had a concealed carry license! It seems so unsafe to carry while on drugs... and why grant even a regular permit to someone under a psychiatrist or psychologist care? I'm afraid that if it hadn't been Trayvon, it would have been someone else soon.
Also, last time ABC...
