It's just as likely as not that this is the first time he's done something like this. There's always a first victim. Kevin Ray Underwood, who murdered, assaulted and intended to cannibalize Jamie Rose Bolin (a child) was a seemingly fairly normal guy with social anxiety and depression...until...
Quake was a lifelong nickname, and yes, he changed both names when he was adopted by his stepfather. Some former high school peers of his explained that in the FB group for finding Sydney. I ran across that by accident the other day.
I am so torn. On the one hand, it seems like a very weird place to commit suicide in the middle of the night. On the other, it seems like a dumb place to hide a body/kill someone, since it was so close to his house. I know random murders can resolve like this, just out in the woods in a highly...
As I pointed out earlier in the thread, opiate pain meds speed some people up, which is why some pill users switch between pills and meth. I don't know enough about heroin to know if it does the same thing, but I've never heard that it does.
Whatever the substance, I think he's clearly been...
It could definitely be something else, but in the south, pain pill and meth abuse are rampant. Heroin is happening, as Tulessa said...pain meds are so expensive on the street now, and heroin gives a much better high for cheap. Heroin just hit my town in the last six months or so, but it's still...
You know, I started to Google that, but with everything I've Googled about this in the last 24 hours, I'm afraid I might wind up on some sort of watch list! Gah. Interesting point, though, and one I've never thought about.
Opiate pain meds and meth go hand in hand for a lot of people. Opiates make a lot of people sleepy and drunkish, but in others, they have speed-like effects. The people who get speedy feelings from pain meds often switch back and forth or go from one to the other. So you're definitely on to...
Let me clarify my earlier comment about meth--I did not, if I did, mean to imply that meth causes this kind of behavior. It's typically just like any other drug in that it exacerbates--not causes--issues. This guy would not have raped and murdered a child if he didn't already have those...
There's a mumbled "coulda" in there that's not easy to pick up on. He says, "I coulda rubbed against a fence." He's theorizing...and very weakly at that.
I would guess this guy has a meth problem by his herky jerky movements and the speed with which he's aged in the last year. The pictures...
Where do you see that? I just checked it and all I see is her thanking the police department and the search team. Odd that she would be thanking the PD, if they shut the search down.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see the post on the sidebar...though she doesn't explicitly say it was the PD that shut the...
Huh. Nice name you got there. You have one comment in total, and it's on this thread. Coincidence? Seems unlikely. Don't know if you're just not good with your own ideas or if you're trying to intentionally confuse people for some reason, but either way...you need a new name.
I would consider suicide a possibility if it wasn't for the giant red flags elsewhere. It's not that I think Mike isn't capable of it--anyone is--it's that circumstances definitely do NOT point in that direction.
It's all right here in this thread, save one rumor that I can't post, because it's a rumor. But even without that, I'd still come to the same conclusion with just the information presented in this thread. I'm being vague because of repeated warnings from the mods about pointing fingers.
Yeah...totally my opinion but there are what seem like extremely obvious clues that definitely do not point to suicide. People who think this was a suicide are the minority.
I disagree that Robin Williams' suicide made little sense, due to the very fact you mentioned--he spent a month in rehab just before he died. If that's not a giant, retrospective red flag, I don't know what is. There are always red flags somewhere, and thus far, no one has come up with a single...
About a week after he went missing, those of us in his hometown found out, but had absolutely no details whatsoever. Then at the roughly three-week mark, a photo of a flyer started circulating on Facebook, but there was no information on it besides his name, a picture, his height and weight, and...
I have to wonder if they're piecing together a case and have a suspect they haven't arrested yet. If it looks suspicious to everyone on this thread, then it has to look suspicious to the investigators, too. The lack of activity and news coupled with the fact that this looks like foul play makes...
Sure, I mean, anything is a possibility, but the police have already said that there are no red flags in Mike's case as far as him leaving on his own. And his wife saying he's paranoid schizophrenic when he's not certainly doesn't fit well into that scenario.
