Star Tribune newspaper microfiche of the July 8, 1993 article quoted on the previous page. (attached here in whole, with image).
I thought her eyes were open as well, but I was confused why they would be going in different directions, like you say, especially in an "enhanced" image.
I am not sure how helpful it can be, besides seeing something more life-like. Her mouth is open, obscuring her resting face shape. It reminds me a bit of Caravaggio's painting of Medusa.
I can see maybe why they didn't add it to the Doe Network or Namus page.
The reason LE apparently made the computer-enhanced photo was because the drawing (presumably the one we have?) was not detailed enough. Here is a quote from one of the Star Tribune articles I posted earlier:
I wonder what details we are missing if this one is not detailed enough. Let me know...
@Piknik, since you have been emailing WA County, do you want to ask the County if they have the other "computer enhanced" photo? It would be interesting to see, and I think helpful to get another angle/image of her. (I wonder about a PM too, it sounds like she was very recognizable and recently...
I think this is definitely her. The face shape, the eye shape, the nose, the teeth, its way too close.
I believe that she does have those moles, but either they are not picked up in the photos or barely picked up (in one it doesn't even look like she has eyebrows due to image quality), or she...
Thinking of her. Does anyone still have a picture of her, and the reconstruction. I don't see her on Doe Network resolved cases anymore. She looked so happy.
I feel like LE would have clarified this if this was the case and the mortician/LE would have cleaned off the blood... They were displayed for about a year.
Thank you.
I did not mean to suggest depression was not serious (I have dealt with it for 15+ years - its VERY serious and impacts my daily life)
I was referring to physical illness that would cause wasting (knowing depression could cause this too - I have lost a lot of weight because of it...
Was his exact cause of death ever determined? He was incredibly emaciated...due to illness? starvation (intentional or unwillingly?)
I am maybe mis-remembering, but I thought he mentioned to someone having a serious illness?
The state of his face could be due to lividity patterns/post-mortem settling of the body. If he died while he was sleeping on his side under the bench, and not found for many hours, his face might be disfigured like that.
Trying to find a case, these are the details I remember:
- older woman, suicide
- rambling suicide note in foreign language (euro-eurasian country)
- at or near apartment complex grounds
- possibly in Florida
- 80s-early 00s
