It’s 111 F here with the heat index today. I just ran an errand in a suburban shopping center and felt woozy and thirsty. I can’t imagine his plight under those circumstances and in that frightening terrain. Poor kid.
Regarding these alleged sightings, if he phoned Lucy in the morning he would have found a way to phone her later if he could. I don't see any grand conspiracy here.
The picture looks like someone leaning over a curtain rod with curtains to flick an ash. Maybe the door has curtains to keep out bugs or keep in the cool air? Then his feet would be visible as he leans over bc they are sticking out from under the curtains.
Possibly, but as the parent of a 23-year-old who I just packed for the beach like she was 5 because she traveled here with friends and not one of them had the braincells to plan and bring the right things…19-year-olds aren’t the most savvy sometimes.
I think he was walking in the wrong direction because he didn’t realize traffic drove on the right and not the left. That is a very simple explanation. He probably hadn’t paid attention to that or not ridden in a car before the previous night (in the dark, when his mental state was altered) and...
Northern Ireland is part of the UK (though that's obviously a touchy subject) and the news about Irish mother and baby homes including the Magdalen Laundries was international. England's not without its own history of adoption scandals either.
Abandoning an infant anonymously but safely should not be a crime in any country. Kids are killed all the time by parents who don't want them. No baby should have to freeze to death just because authorities would prefer that moms walk up to the hospital door and give all their info.
It surprises me there aren't any safe haven dropoffs in the UK. The NHS is usually pretty progressive about these things..And especially after the terrible legacy of orphanages in Ireland.
All I can think of is Josef Fritzl, who held his daughter prisoner for decades and raped her daily. She was able to raise three of her kids in the basement dungeon and some of them were raised by him and his wife. I wonder if they can easily tell if the babies are a product of incest.
The lips could be swollen from injuries. I really see a resemblance here, assuming that the missing photo is of a younger and much happier girl. Their eyes appear to be different colors though but old photos aren't reliable there.
I grew up in that area. The canal is a major milestone that used to transport mule-drawn boats when built. It runs for 70 miles throughout Mercer County and beyond. Everyone knows about it. It's not used for swimming, or at least not ever that I have heard of. It's kind of murky and shallow and...
My first thought. The only way to solve this would be by forensic genealogy at this point, for which an exhumation would likely be required. Since nobody who knew him is around anymore, this would be a very low priority to solve. What a shame. Poor guy.
If you ever want to be greatly enlightened in all the ways that people can die in a national park either through happenstance or their own poor judgment, I recommend this book highly. I think about it all the time and certainly every time I'm in a remote area. https://a.co/d/1Vmm4NU
I agree there are two types in normal circumstances but these were completely abnormal circumstances and nobody thought the towers would collapse, that was unthinkable!
