I'm getting so sick of these " mothers" allowing their children to be abused. They need to stop being with dead beats, stop leaving their children with people who are dangerous and pay attention to the signs around them! It's not rocket science to know when a child is being abused.
I noticed a lot of people discussing the two police not listening to the 911 recording of the sweet boys call. This is just my opinion, but I don't think that would have made one bit of difference to them. I think they were trying to do as little as possible, resolve the IMMEDIATE situation...
I'm surprised at all the comments in support of this woman. Yes, parenting is hard and some situations even harder than normal, but what she did is wrong and unforgivable. Stress is not an excuse for murder (which is what I believe she intended to do.)
She probably will still go to the doc and get care, but then be billed for it. I work at a hospital and if the state doesn't pay for inmates bills, they just get billed like anyone else without insurance.
Isn't there some kind of checks in place for home schooling? If there isn't, there obviously needs to be. It seems that you can just yank your kids out of school and say they are being home schooled and no one thinks twice.

I'm wondering if it was hers or the father's? It does seem strange that she put him down for a nap after being so concerned by trying to make him throw up. Poor baby.

Sentencing is always frustrating to me. I don't think I've ever felt satisfied by the outcome. I always believe people deserve much worse than what they get.

I don't know if this possibility has been mentioned before, but maybe it was ED who wanted the child to stay with the grandparents. Considering that he more than likely knew that Bethany was living with this other man, maybe he didn't want his child in that situation. It's also been mentioned...

Here's one also stating she has one blue and one green eye although that's inconsistent with other descriptions...
I wonder if both shoes looked the same? When I saw the pic of the shoe, the first thing I thought of was the shoes some people get that have a higher sole because one of their legs is shorter than the other.
