    Kyron's Law

I would rather have cameras in schools than the notorious "red light cameras" popping up at nearly every intersection. Many schools already have security cameras and things that have been recorded by them include: a female teacher being "inappropriate" with a male student; teachers manhandling...

Do you believe that this case will be solved?

I'm not sure that anyone really thinks that she is ... but with not much going on in the case, it's a part of trying to look at all the things that could possibly happen from here. Despite all the little glimmers of Terri going on her merry way (handing out Halloween candy, going to bars)...

Do you believe that this case will be solved?

The last I heard, people can cross into Canada from WA state without much hassel, but it's getting back into the US that requires a passport or enhanced DL. About a year ago a couple in my circle went to Vancouver BC for the weekend. When they tried to come back into the US, the wife...

    1) Lack of money. 2) Fleeing would likely be seen as evidence of guilt.

Do you believe that this case will be solved?

I'm wondering whether they have more on Terri than they are saying, but will not charge her until the last possible moment--because once she is charged, doesn't the clock start ticking on discovery? Maybe LE does not want to turn information over to the defence until they absolutely have to?

It was Bern who posted that a picture of a Hooters jacket similar to the one Jennifer borrowed can be seen at: http://www.hernandosheriff.org/unsolved/Odom/ Thank you, Bern. As you will see at the link, the jacket is a sweatshirt.

Hooters is a nationwide chain that apparently has varying reputations, depending on where each outlet is located. Here on the Pacific coast, Hooters is called a family restaurant, but there are not many parents who willingly take their kids there. Some, yes. But not many. I have been told...

2011.02.19 - Desiree puts on the pressure in Roseburg

I think the whole Roseburg effort is about eroding Terri's pleasure in life bit by bit in little ways. Whatever little corner on happiness she has, they're looking for a way to take it away from her. And I think it also involves raising the awareness of people she's in community with. 'Hey...

2011.02.19 - Desiree puts on the pressure in Roseburg

Clu, I understand your point, and it hits close to something I do frequently wonder about: What is it like to live in that house? And, how uncomfortable is Terri? Honestly, I think probably the publicity surrounding the sext messages was probably much harder for Terri's parents than...

2011.02.19 - Desiree puts on the pressure in Roseburg

It may be true that TH's parents are as hamstrung as the rest of us in terms of there being anything they can do to help Kyron or Desiree. And to be fair, I have known many parents whose adult kids are bent on doing precisely what they please at all times, thinking only of themselves, and...

2011.02.19 - Desiree puts on the pressure in Roseburg

As many others have said, I don't think DY would be doing this if TY, who is in LE himself, thought it was a bad idea. I understand the concern for TH's parents. However, they have chosen to support their daughter--which I would probably do as well. But in sheltering and defending someone...

Do you believe that this case will be solved?

In reference to the OP ... I believe Kyron may be found in the next couple of months or so as outdoor recreational activity in the Northwest picks up again. Sometimes this starts as early as March in our area ... but we are having a cold winter, so maybe not until April or May. May includes...

snipped by me. This is from post #11 on this thread and the information is attributed to FL LE. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever seen any explanation from LE regarding how they know that Jennifer never made it to her door? I can see where they might know she never got inside the home...

Carbuff, your comment brings to light another puzzle. In one sense there was nobody around ... but in another sense there was a busfull of kids potentially watching. And some of those kids evidently were watching because they were able to give a description of the truck that included some...

In the time between Jennifer disappearing and the time her body was discovered, the killer must have been very nervous, because the search was on for her. But at the same time, the killer bought himself some time by not allowing the body to be found right away.

I think the answer is 'a' or 'd' or a combination of the two, possibly even having got out of the truck once he knew he had her boxed in out of view from the populated side of the road. Either she went willingly because it was someone she regarded as a friend, or she was knocked out or killed...

I believe the answer to the first part is "c." He knew the doings of the orange groves and knew that the harvest was done in these groves. In the second part, I believe the answer is 'e.' I think he 'groomed' Jennifer or set her up so that he could get information from her. I also think...

I feel pretty sure that this person somewhat planned on getting ahold of Jennifer and killing her, so you'd think he'd be concerned about the truck being seen. In the interest of being fair, though: despite our speculations, he may not have planned to kill Jennifer and didn't know that he...

CA CA - Barbara Rogers, 60, Lakewood, 16 Aug 2005

As far as I know, jstick49, the thread you have posted on is the only one on WS that deals with Barbara's case. I have used a couple of search engines for more information, but this case didn't seem to have been covered too much in the media at the time it happened. If you find any thing not...
