I think two things were clear in the interview Elaine did yesterday; she's a survivor not a victim and she wants justice not revenge. Both of those things will serve her well if Mark takes this to trial.
I always thought he was a horrible liar. I defended him and thought Elaine was being extremely cruel by coming out of the gate swinging at him until his first press conference. I switched sides in a hurry.
And they aren't pleasant. I never believed it was about photos though. I've always believed that Mark simply hated his ex wife more than he loved his son.
I wonder how much of the evidence Elaine knew about and had to live with while waiting for this day. It would take a stronger woman than I to watch that man live his life while knowing that his home was covered in my child's blood. There isn't a hell hot enough for what Mark Redwine deserves.
The family seems to agree with you, as do I. Whether he left on his own or foul play was involved I don't think that Eric was on that mountain when the search started.
He didn't get into the engineering program at Tech with bad grades. It's a very competitive and difficult program. Jocks aren't posing as engineer wannabes while they wait to make it to the pros.
He was a 4 year athlete in high school so I can't imagine that he has been in much trouble. He wouldn't have remained on the team otherwise I don't believe. I also don't think he would have got into Tech with anything more than a very minor criminal record.

I'm letting go of my hope that she wasn't murdered.
