Perhaps the truck was backed up to make room for another vehicle to pull up and possibly enter into the garage. Load the body in a closed garage so no one could possibly see.

Westville is in horrible shape which is why the state is building a new replacement facility there. DOC: Construction slated to begin soon for new Westville correctional facility

maybe or he decides not to exercise bail and they house him in a county jail.

The perfect solution is bail. The second is housed in a county jail in close proximity to his legal team.

exactly. he should be out of bail. pretrial detention is a huge advantage for the state.

you are assuming he is guilty. fairness would be bail so he can help his attorneys. being held without bail drastically increases the states chances of conviction. he should be out on bail, monitored with full, unobstructed access to his attorneys. he had a job, a house and community ties.

it could have been an attempt to get himself out of solitary. He isn't thinking clearly after spending time there so he wouldn't be making rational decisions. Like you said, until we hear them who knows if they are legit.

doesn't matter. until we hear the confession and the circumstances surrounding them, we don't know how reliable they are or if they are even credible. RA wouldn't be the first to confess to a crime he didn't commit especially after being detained in solitary confinement.

except, you don't know if their claims are outlandish. They haven't been heard in court. What if every claim they have made is true? You can choose to believe that can't be the case but until it is given a hearing, we don't know. <modsnip> There simply is no evidence RA did it. IMO

This case has been different including placing RA in solitary confinement in a state prison. They aren't interested in fairness.

Funny thing is, nearly all pretrial detention is in county jails. The Hollandsburg murderers were held in county jail until convicted as was the Speedway bomber. The state wanted him in prison, in solitary confinement, to break him down and hoped he would confess. There really is no tangible...

Take some time to read about the effects solitary confinement. RA could have been confessing because of the conditions in an attempt to get out of solitary confinement. I have seen it first hand and you can't image what it does to a hardened criminal let alone a first time, unconvicted, person.

I disagree. RA needs a zealous defense like B & R were giving him. We don't need a patsie that will make the judge and prosecutors job easier.

It is more like 3% go to trial. Only 2% of federal cases go to trial.

The judge should not permit the defense to resign. I think they will now appoint a patsie to make it easier on the prosecution.

To me it shows the judges incompetence. She should have made the clerk hold all filings for her review prior to publication especially after issuing a gag order. She is in over her head as much as the prosecutor and LE is. If the detective lied or mislead in the SWA and they don't throw it...

How, if they hide evidence or witnesses it would be a Brady violation at trial.

Except the state can't have any witnesses or evidence they don't disclose in discovery unless it is to rebut a defense witness.

If you look at it logically it's very clear who did it!

If you found a ransom note that stated your child had been taken, why would you even search the house? The only reason, you knew that she wasn't taken and you 'search' the house to make sure it is difficult to find her until the timing is right. (house full of friends that have killed all...
