Australia Australia - Sharron Phillips, 20, Brisbane, Qld, 8 May 1986

What i saw was just a news report. They did come up on the relevant channels pages. I cant find the link. I notice this evening they are back to saying it was Bob Phillips. Everything i hear is different. I dont think i will take any notice now til the reports are all the same. :/

Right from the word go this has been a strange case. The family fell apart after her disappearance and dont agree on what happened. It is family against family. I really hope that if Sharrons father is innocent then it can be proven. At least the family wont have to live thinking their own dad...

And yesterday the news was saying that the brother was the one who came forward after hearing his death bed confession in Aug last year. So why did they say that when today they say it was not thebrother? Seriously this is all over the place.

This is all so confusing.... channel 9 is saying he accidentally ran over her and asked his son to help him get rid of the body. Channel 7 is saying he abducted and murdered her. Big difference. How can these major TV stations be so different in their stories?

He has probably never thought of it that way.:what: ... from anyone else's point of view but his own.

Yes, because people always remember where they were and what they were doing when something significant happens. Something like your partners body being found should stand above all else... well, to your average caring person.

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 2nd July - Trial Day 14, Week 3

Today and yesterday were the first times I have felt confident about a guilty verdict. Hopefully the jury has seen the way GBC shines when talking about himself and his sexual happenings. Then they can see how much he hates when someone dares to doubt him, and has the gall to be offended...

You are right Tishy. Any reasonable person would have to see what happened.

So... what are we all thinking? Are any of us genuinely worried that he might get off? I know there is always that slight chance... but I'm hoping like heck he is found guilty. Do we think the prosecution will have enough against him... or the defence will be able to put that bit of doubt...

    The Crown v Gerard Baden-Clay, 17th June - Trial Day 5 - Week 2

Exactly... why panic at that stage? If he really didn't murder her... he would at least think "Well we had a bit of a row last night ... maybe she is still p'd off at me." Why ring the police? He only called so early because the plan had to be put in to action straight away...

Seems he used the depression as a crutch for himself... another reason why he could not leave. Truth is he didn't want to... it didn't suit him at that time to leave. He didn't care about the depression or how anyone else felt... the time had to be right for HIM and HIM only.

I'm only on page 5 at the moment... but geez... if TM wasn't involved at all I sure hope GBC doesn't get away with swaying the blame her way. I know she was wrong to be having the affair anyway, but that aside... if he did it alone I want him to be punished alone, IYKWIM? The defence and...

Love how they are stating that GBC was always respectful towards his wife. Yep... an affair or two or three, saying she smelt, saying she should lose weight... all very respectful ofcourse.

Ah... becoming more assertive... I'm sure that didn't fit in with the way hubby wanted her to be.

Yep... when you have kids you learn to wear darker clothes, haha. Depressed or not. Dark clothes are both slimming and good for hiding dirty finger marks!!!
