I saw that as well. I think it was just a conclusion based on the first set of lab results coming in, and LE not releasing any details about those results. I don't think anyone outside of LE knows what the results are at this point. IMO
That's what I believe as well. He will probably get a good one, pro bono, if he is charged. I just think we would have heard something from any lawyer retained on this case. Some small statement. IMO
I was assuming that they might do DNA testing on items taken in the search. Example... maybe they tested empty bottles / cans looking for Hannah's DNA, as proof she was in the car at some point. If any DNA from that gets a hit, that's probable cause. I have no idea about the time required for...
If any DNA obtained from the search hits on any unsolved cases, they would have enough probable cause to obtain warrants for DNA from anyone who lived in the apartment and/or drove the searched car. IMO
We don't know that they don't have "any evidence against him". They obviously don't have "enough" against anyone at this point to make an arrest. All we know is that they have some reason to believe that he knows something that can help them find Hannah. IMO
That's why they call alcohol "liquid courage". I remember leaving my ride and walking 6 miles home from a party, through some pretty shady streets, because of some perceived insult that I couldn't even remember the next day. A walk that I would never attempt at night if I had not had too much...
The only other option I could imagine is CWG mis-remembered, as eye witnesses are prone to do. However, how can you get from dreadlocks to shaved head, and white shorts to black pants? It's likely one of your two options.
Hmm. It's interesting that his movements in the video make so many people uneasy. Instincts and first reactions should not be discarded lightly. The book "Blink", by Malcolm Gladwell talks about that exact thing.
From the wikipedia page on "Blink": The author describes the main subject of...
In the first clip in Parker's video, looking out through the Tuel Jewelers window, if you pause it, it's Hannah and dreads guy walking together. The guy seems to have the same white shorts as dreads guy from the first video.
I think their priority is to find her alive if possible, and building a possible case against someone is secondary at this point. I do agree that the info is coming out way faster than I've seen before.
Kevin McCarty with KIRO is saying preliminary hearing today, with formal charges coming later this week.

I think the OP was trying to say that maybe the suspect is not a serial rapist, i.e. has not done this before. I did not get the idea that he/she was trying to downplay the crime or its brutal nature. IMOO
If you mean A.C.I., I asked him that around the time of the arrest. I linked his reply:

I would be very surprised if LPD have released every pic/video of BSL's truck from that night. They will only release enough to further their investigation. As much as I would like to know everything that they know, that would not help their investigation.
I'm thinking fingerprints... greasy fingerprints would probably hold up in the water for a while. If he dumped it expecting that it would never be found, he was probably not very careful about leaving prints on the bike.
