GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #3

I hear ya, at this point nothing would shock me anymore regarding this case. It's just that she has not exhibited the kind of behavior I would associate with someone who would resort to drug smuggling as an option. She has never cared about money. She barely worked over the past several years...

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #3

Trying to catch up on all the latest and surprisingly found a lot of discussions centering around the drug mule possibilities. I just don't see it as a likely scenario: 1) SS has had money issues for years (filed bankruptcy in 2005), and yet during that time has never resorted to illegal...

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #2

Something tells me that this wasn't the first time SS had strayed from the marriage. It doesn't make sense to me that someone would go from devout mom/wife to sleeping on a stranger's couch in A'dam overnight. I suspect she's been trying to break free for years (her bankruptcy filing listed...

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #2

After leaving behind her kids and husband, flying across the globe to meet him, having sex with him in a bathroom, calling him to meet her on her last day...after all this she's gonna start playing hard to get? I'm not buying that motive.

Apologies if this was covered before...I was out preparing for this snowstorm we're getting :) The only thing that makes sense to me regarding Sarai's missing clothes is that the perp wanted to remove any evidence that could contain DNA, fingerprints, etc. that's why only her shell was taken...

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #2

Question to one of the Turkish locals... Is is customary to offer monetary rewards for information leading to the arrest/conviction of a criminal? If so, could Sarai's family use some of the funds they're collecting to offer such reward? Someone has to know something...perhaps the financial...

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #2

How many of those wives and mothers, during their travels, are sleeping on the couch of a total stranger they met on the internet? Not many, I would guess.

My only point was that I firmly believe that her true motive for the trip was to meet up with some of her new friends, photography was the secondary motive. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that (well except perhaps for the part where she's married).

What leads you to believe he's a "world-class jerk"? Let's for a second believe that a girl he just met online a few months ago comes to his country, meets him for a drink, they're intimate, and the next day she's missing, and police are looking for you. As a guy, I think I'd be a little...

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #2

I get that. But photography was the means by which she was filling a more important void in her life. Because of photography she was getting lots of attention from men. Are there no women in Turkey, A'dam, Germany that take pictures? I'm sure there are...but yet she never established the...

Hello again...and thanks for welcoming to the forum. Just wanted to comment on a couple of themes that keep coming up: 1) camera/no camera, not enough photos, etc: She was a NOVICE, please don't forget that. If she were an established photographer with years of experience, then all those items...

GUILTY Turkey - Sarai Sierra, 33, NY woman murdered, Istanbul, 21 Jan 2013 - #2

Hello there everyone...been following this case and thread for days...glad I was finally given the ok to join the discussion! I find this post absolutely fascinating! Perhaps this is just me...but I have been under the impression this whole time that SS and Taylan/Tarkan had established some...
