More deja vu. The original Jodi Arias jury delivered the 1st degree murder conviction. In the penalty phase, the jury chairman was deadset against DP and in the end I think 3 other wavering people joined him. He seemed to be a stealth juror, but at least he came through on the conviction. Then...
The gist of the reply above is that you are supposed to be open-minded and willing to consider the death penalty, not that you have to be "pro-DP" per se.
When a DP is not rendered, if it ends up 11-1 you don't know (unless one of the jurors goes public) whether:

Her interview notes were very interesting. The one thing that was implied but not explicitly covered was whether they were talking to 17 about WEIGHING the mitigators vs the aggravators, which was supposed to be the point. Yes there were a few mitigators, but their existence doesn't matter -...
What do you mean her fantasy defense? How can you not believe that Travis wasn't posing for provocative, unsmiling pictures in the shower before doing his "linebacker lunge" at her after dropping his camera? And that she popped right up after being body-slammed by this angry hulk onto the tile...

I still wonder why JW and JA keep saying it was a second-degree murder case when it was so OBVIOUSLY a matter of self defense (according to them). Why accept a murder plea when you are totally innocent?
audreyparker, also a joke was JW's crowing to JSS about how great a person JA was based on all her interactions with her outside the court's presence. To me it made JW look like a complete idiot (or maybe just more of one).
This was probably covered 24 hours ago at WS, but what is the restitution hearing about? Do they put JA on the hook for paying certain state costs? Does that include anything the state gives to the family of the victim (if they do give anything to them)?
I'm wondering whether if the state makes...
