If we take CWF claims on FB as true, then the alleged CSK may have talked his murder victims into the car.

I also proposed many moons ago that the alleged CSK talked his victims into the car.......

OHHHHHHH bring a trial closer.....

As I mentioned some eons ago, I heard (so hearsay) my mother in law told me that her friend Marnie, told her that she was at one of BREs wife's work doos but she had to leave early and he offered to take her home. Such a thing wouldn't raise any suspicion in a victim. And no, he doesn't have to be courting a victim for a victim to get into his car I reckon

He was sacked in August so I'm guessing it won't be a problem

Anything that can create reasonable doubt is a disaster. And the CSK evidence was retested in 2004

On FBs " Claremont Serial Killer Discussion Page" in the comments section of the latest ABC news post about yesterdays court appearance . a lady from Kalgoorlie CWF is making certain claims that I will not repeat here. Worth a look.

7SJ707 do you want to write to CWF and suggest she may find kindred spirits here? Or I can if it seems creepy from a bloke. : )

"DAVID WEBER: The officers that have been stood down are Assistant Commissioners David Caporn and Mal Shervill, Superintendent John Brandham, Inspector Alan Carter and Sergeant Mark Emmett.

Between them, they've been involved in hundreds of homicide investigations, including the Claremont Serial Killer inquiry and the crackdown on the Gypsy Jokers in the wake of the bombing murders of Don Hancock and Lou Lewis."

Source> Corruption and Crime Commission / Andrew Mallard / Pamela Lawrence / PM 2006 http://www.abc.net.au/pm/content/2006/s1637420.htm

I note that the Sgt Mark Emmett named in this report, has finally shaken off this unsavory episode and has recently been promoted to Detective Senior Sgt OIC in Regional WA. Well done Sir.

Now what's this about them working on the CSK case?

No mate....it is a serious matter for WAPOL if true and not to be aired on this thread.......I know WAPOL monitor these pages and expect they are already aware of it... OOPs sorry should have replied with quote.....this answer is in response to Why Whys question. re Kalgoorlie FB Posts..

Why it is important to get the collection of evidence and the DNA testing right beyond any reasonable doubt https://www.themarshallproject.org/...y-imperfect-science-of-dna-testing#.mytZNIgLh

Mr Quigley, who became the state's Attorney-General two weeks ago, said he was only told on Monday this week.

He described Mr Webb's sacking as a disaster that would have serious consequences.

"This is as serious as it gets in the administration of criminal justice," he said.

"This is unprecedented... it is a huge disaster for the administration of criminal justice in Western Australia.

"That this could happen and be kept from the DPP for so long is of grave concern."

"He said those convicted of murder "may be able to challenge their convictions" and 27 people convicted of a range of offences in a two-year period from 2014 to 2016 — cases that Mr Webb worked on — had been informed of the situation."

Maybe the CSK DNA evidence is being retested, hence the delay.

This cites the murder sites as being at Willard and Eglington.

It's probably safer to scan post articles. Given the last major one the online version was missing a page.

If someone goes missing and is later found murdered I believe the murder charges are the day they went missing unless there is proven to be another date. This may be the same with the murder sites. No research done here to determine that so could be wrong.

So THIS is new ... The Australian's report by Paige Taylor about BRE's court appearance - should we make anything of the first par and third-last pars about the victims not being random?

----

The technician charged over two of the three Claremont serial killings has opted to delay his plea, a week after a detective told a separate court that the victims were not killed randomly.

Bradley Robert Edwards, 48, appeared yesterday at a special early sitting of the WA Supreme Court by video link from Hakea maximum-security prison.

The former Telstra technician spoke only to confirm his name and say he understood the eight charges read out against him. He is charged with murdering 23-year-old childcare worker Jane Rimmer in 1996 and 27-year-old lawyer Ciara Glennon in 1997.

The two women were last seen in Claremont. There are no charges against Mr Edwards in relation to the disappearance of Sarah Spiers, 18, long regarded by police as the first victim in the Claremont serial killings. *Spiers has never been found.

Police have said little about the case since heavily armed officers stormed the house Mr Edwards shared with his adult stepdaughter on December 22.

But in a separate court case last Tuesday, Detective Sergeant Ian Moore of the Major Crime Squad was giving evidence in a defamation trial brought by barrister Lloyd Rayney when he was asked by Mr Rayney’s lawyer Martin Bennett: “Do you accept that the Claremont serial killer killings were random attacks — the only thing linking Sarah *Spiers, Jane Rimmer, Ciara Glennon being an attendance in *Claremont?”

Sergeant Moore replied that he did not accept that: “I have knowledge of that particular job that I can’t particularly enlighten the court about and those — no, I can’t accept that proposition.”

Mr Edwards is due to return to court in October.

Do people think this could mean stalking? Certainly the theory of the KK - Government Road connection with JR seems like a possibility but CG had only been back in Australia a week so maybe not.

WA must be running out of DNA experts, isn't this the 2nd DNA expert removed from their job recently.
The one that was named in parliament years ago as a forensic DNA expert, but was recently arrested on paedophile charges, was just a S/Sgt at Perth Police Station in recent years. He was an old boy of the same school as Lloyd if that's worth anything other than to ponder on why he was moved out of forensics.
