BBM. What does that have to do with the night TM was shot?
Sorry, I just want to know more about Trayvon. If they end up blaming him for this i just want to understand what took place from point A problems at school, with authorities, IDK to point B that angered him or whatever it was that involved him in this incident. He a 17 year old boy, just like any boy, this so breaks my heart.

Wow, must be really different in your part of Florida, I work at a High School and a Middle School and never hear that word at all.
Please don't take me wrong, as I am not trying to argue with anyone. I am just so surprised that I am the only one that seems to hear "homie" regularly. Just a few years ago my son used it so often that I finally told him "I am not your homie, I am your mother". LOL
I also went to youtube and put in "homie" 132,000 results come up, including current rap songs.
I can see Travon using the term.

Most Targets do. Some are Super Target which is a full grocery store inside the Target (like Super Walmart).

Thanks. The Target I go to is not a Super Target.. I have noticed they do have drinks, candies, nuts and a few grocery items but I have never gone there to purchase any of those items. I do occasionaly go to a WalMart that is a super store though and have bought grocery items from there while shopping for other items....JMHO

I doubt if any teen could resist having Skittles in his pocket for more than an hour. lol

lol, exactly.

So now Trayvon is guilty of eating his candy too fast or not fast enough? I admit I am befuddled and lost over this discussion.

They should have tested him, but if they didn't, nothing can be done about it now. But he doesn't look all drunk on his police walk tape, does he? I mean, people were saying how he has no sever injuries since he can walk normally with his hands behind his back.

Shooting and killing an unarmed man can tend to be a sobering event I would imagine. But you are right. If, as has been reported, GZ was not tested for drug and alcohol exposure that night, it is far too late now.

How would homicide provide probable cause that the individual is drunk? Does that place the smell of alcohol on their breath? Make them slur their speech? Stagger around? Unable to articulate words?

It's standard procedure when there is a shooting. Didn't they test TM? He was the one who was dead???? Isn't it important to know when someone discharges a gun and kills another person to know whether or not they are under the influence just in case it's needed for court. Or did they already make the decision right there on the spot that there were never going to be any charges?????? Might want to check that hinky meter it might need batteries. jmo

I guess my question would be, why go all the way to Target for milk when there is a 7-11 right there?

I would just like to see the tapes from 7-11 just to make sure Zimmerman didn't go there? I think it's a fair question?

If he really was under the influence and they didn't do a breathalyzer, then someone has to lose a badge over that.

I suspect that a lot of people are going to lose their badges or positions before this is over. JMO

QUOTE from post and link above:

"Zimmerman starts to reach into his pocket to get his cellphone, and at that point Trayvon attacked him. He says Trayvon hits him. He falls on the ground. Trayvon jumps on top of him, takes his left hand and covers Zimmerman's mouth and tells him to shut the F up and continues to pound on him.

How in the world could GZ have been the one screaming in this scenerio? And if TM was doing this - why would those horrible, angonizing screams we here on that tape be coming from TM?

I can't even keep the number of accounts of what happened that night have come from the Z camp.

The truth doesn't change..............

JMHO

My question is, are all these different accounts coming from GZ himself?

My question is, are all these different accounts coming from GZ himself?

They're coming from the police from what I understand. It's versions they've told the family, versions they've told the media. It's just a big mess. Why can't we just see Zimmerman's written report, his intial recorded interview, and his walkthrough with LE at the scene?

I've wondered that myself from the beginning. I'm not clear on just when Zimmerman parked wherever he was when he called the PD, or how he came to be there. I think I missed that part of the timeline.

I don't know it works in a shooting. But in a traffic fatality, each driver involved is required by law to be tested for drugs and alcohol. Why would it be different in a homicide? Just wondering...

I don't know where you've been reading and I guess I'm going to have to go find the links for you...but the story has never changed from the beginning. You are conveniently mixing them all together though.

He was never walking from dad's house to girlfriend's house.

Dad and fiance DID go to dinner.

When his dad and the fiance returned from dinner, Trayvon was not there, he called him, phone was off. He thought he had gone to the movies with his cousin because he had mentioned that he might and had his phone off. Dad fell asleep and when he woke up the next morning, Trayvon was still not there.

All this information is in the initial stories and if you read them, it paints a very clear picture of what transpired. But if you want to portray his dad as a liar, then you mix all this information together and make it seem like he's not telling the truth and has no idea where his son is or what he is doing. It's an ingenius way to try to make his dad look like a liar, but if you've really read the initial news stories and been following the case closely, you know exactly what was going on with Trayvon that night.
Trayvon Martin stepped outside his father's house for the last time on Feb. 26. The 17-year-old high school junior lived with his mother in Miami, but was visiting his father, who lived in a gated community in an Orlando, Fla. suburb. They were watching the NBA All-Star Game and it was half-time. Trayvon walked down the street to a local convenient store, where he bought a can of iced tea and a packet of Skittles. On his way back home he noticed an older man in his late twenties was following him in a car.

“I had gone out for dinner,” dad Tracy Martin told People magazine. “And when I got home, Trayvon wasn’t there. I tried calling his cellphone several times, and it went straight to voice mail.
“I figured that they had gone to the movies,” he said of Trayvon and his nephew. “So I laid down, thinking they would show up later.”
But Trayvon never did. The next morning, Tracy “started getting worried” when the nephew said he hadn’t seen Trayvon.

So, why didn't the brother mention that he had gone out to buy skittles and never returned?

During the 10-day suspension, Tracy Martin took his son with him to Sanford, about four hours away from Miami, while he visited his fiancée because neither he nor Fulton wanted their son to stay in his hometown where he could enjoy his friends, said Horton, who has been in close contact with Martin's father.
"He wasn't just suspended from school and up at Sanford kicking it and having a good time," said Horton. Martin had only been to Sanford a handful of times.

Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin spoke to Democratic lawmakers Tuesday on Capitol Hill.
His fateful walk to the convenience store for a bag of Skittles and an iced tea on the evening of February 26 happened only because the teenager pleaded to leave the apartment, said Horton.
"The only reason he got a chance to go to the store is because he begged his dad to go," he said. At the time, his father and his fiancée had gone out to dinner and to watch a basketball game, leaving Martin at the townhouse, according to Martin family spokesman Ryan Julison.

No mention of the brother. Weird.

I could have sworn that there were articles that said he was walking to his dad's house, but mea culpa on that one.

The story shifts over time; it's obvious.

Question for anyone with the unabridged version of the 911 call from GZ about supsicious male:

Does GZ give his name and or his title at the beginning of the call? What I am asking is, did dispatch and responding officers already know who they were dealing at the time of that call? Did he announce his title as NWC during the call?

Trying to anticipate if it could be argued that GZ was not acting in the role of NWC at the time of the confrontation but rather as a private citizen as someone suggested a few days back.

GZ did not ever identify himself as "neighborhood watch captain" during the call. He only gave his first name when the operator asked and gave his last name when specifically asked. He never gave his full address, just the street number. At least that is what I have from the following transcript.

People tend to get very defensive when it appears they are losing ground. Blaming the victim is something GZ seems to have been good at. Not sure what excuses some of his supporters are using but blaming the victim is on top of their list.

I do think, too, Mr. Wolfie is being very defensive about a meeting with the Chief and trying to distance himself from him. So they ask the Chief to step down, Mr. Wolfie volunteers to step down as to not cause a conflict of interest and it appears there are leaks in the PD. I'd say something is about to blow. Too bad GZ messed up his chances for PD. Looks like there might be some job opening at SPD soon. jmo

Because most states have implied consent laws that state anyone operating a motor vehicle can be compelled to undergo a chemical test for intoxication. When you sign for your license, you essentially agree to this. If you refuse, you lose your license for something like a year, usually.

Thanks for the links! I will admit...I'm terrible at them! I'm not sure what difference it makes what he was watching on tv when he left the house? I'm not sure about the soon to be step brother either. It is definitely a missing piece of the puzzle. What occurs to me is that his fiance is protecting her child by not allowing access to him. Can't say I blame her.
