She said it was just an opinion.

I know what she said. I said that I'd like to see how she came to that conclusion...if there is any news out there that I can read for myself...maybe I'll have the same opinion.

Since I haven't seen ANYTHING that even hints at another person, I'd like to read any and all reliable information regarding that scenario.

If there is no proof so far of a 3rd person, then it is not an OPINION - it is a RANDOM GUESS.

Hi there. I'm a noob, too. It's a tough crowd in here! lol

We are not that tough. I'm just really interested in the third party. Maybe this is someone who knows more than we know? It happens.

I have been lurking here throughout the whole case, and finally got set to have a login. I notice hardly anyone giving GZ the benefit of a doubt. I don't for one minute believe that GZ intended to confront Trayvon. In fact, I believe there was a third party involved whom we have not yet heard about. JMO

Third party :waitasec: :waitasec: :waitasec: hmmmm?

I do agree with you that GZ did not intend to harm TM but it did spin out of control.
Also believe that his family knows TM well enough to believe that it could have been an accident.

Poor thing. 1st post ever on WS and she's bombarded.

I don't believe Zimmerman went to confront Trayvon with the intent of killing him... I do believe he intended on confronting him and detaining him though?

I am very interested in your third party?

If GZ detained Trayvon that would be an illegal detainment and probable cause but we don't know that yet. I suppose I'll have to wait to trial but it maybe the mysterious probable cause.

Having said that, the definition of detainment gets tricky and I'd let you all decide what constitutes illegal detainment.

Mark Nejame's has been hired by CNN in the last couple of weeks to be their legal analyst. I thought it was strange he refused to answer Cnn's question several times if he had been called by Zimmerman. He even said at one point he would not answer that question one way or the other.

Now he is answering that question? What station was this interviewing him?

I read it in the Orlando Sentinel TV Guy column.

She was not bombarded! That's an interesting opinion and we're curious? I mean, not one person in 22 threads has even thought about a third party and I think it's an interesting theory?

Sure there is, there are people who will use it to fit their own agenda, ready to pounce. People who couldn't care less if a grieving mother simply misspoke. Especially the media, that we so often complain about.

Good for her to set the record straight if she felt that she was being mischaracterized. She has that right, she is the victim.

But perhaps it's becoming obvious that for some, nothing this particular victim does will be acceptable.
JMHO

My perception is that nothing could be further from the truth. But, as I said, I am discussing these things mostly from a dispassionate place. I have a lot of practice doing that, and it is my habit. It is clear to me that you feel very strongly about it on a personal level which is understandable and commendable. I fully respect your emotion around it. At the same time, while I will never judge Trayvon's mother, I will continue to observe the dynamics at play from a big picture and objective perspective. That is all I am intending to do in my posts.

He answered it just a few minutes ago on CNN. He said he couldn't answer it before until he got permission from the person or persons involved. He said he got permission recently, so he said he was originally contacted by Zimmerman on March 13th. He passed on it. He was contacted again either yesterday morning or Tuesday morning (it was unclear to me) and he passed again and give Zimmerman 4 or 5 other names of attorneys. O'Mara being one of the names.

You know I have thrown around the thoughts about a third party. Either someone on Trayvon's side or Zimmerman's. If it was someone on Trayvon's side we would have heard about it from Zimmerman. If it was someone on Zimmerman's side at the scene a witness would have seen them. That does not rule out someone calling Zimmerman. All IMO

Wouldn't it make him look worse if GZ admitted that there was another person who was following Trayvon with him?

I cant imagine that, when the help cries came wouldn’t that 3rd party do something?

Wow

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com...412_1_face-murder-charges-today-show-accident

From the Probable Cause Affidavit:

Martin tried to run home, the affidavit says, but was followed by Zimmerman. "Zimmerman got out of his vehicle and followed Martin."

The affidavit goes on to say that "Zimmerman disregarded the police dispatcher" who told him to stop, and "continued to follow Martin who was trying to return to his home."

I'm a bit surprised, I thought this document was supposed to be sealed.

TY! That makes sense.

It doesn't matter how long someone has been posting. If he/she has lurked for even a day...he/she would understand that WS is not like the other forums that allow random guesses and thoughts to be posted as fact.

Everyone develops their opinions based on facts here and I would like to see some news stories that mention a 3rd party before this ends up as another rumor-turned-into-fact statement.

I like to read ALL sides to a story and if there is mention of a 3rd party that would blow this case wide open because wouldn't that mean that GZ had contacted someone else before calling 911 (Since Tray was dead within 2-4 minutes of GZ getting off the phone with 911) to "help" him "get this f'n punk before he got away"?
