Any of the below would be odd to me, but together, it's really odd!

-LE referencing AL's investigative leads that they (LE) do not "necessarily want to get on tape (page 32, line 8 http://flawebhosting.net/docs092308/al092308.pdf)
-LE giving AL $40 for gas (page 32, line 13). Did anyone else get gas $ from LE?
-Amy's text's that say that Tony is only talking with detectives and not anyone else (line 2212 http://www.websleuths.com/cases/ca/Amy H Texts pt3 (outgoing).pdf)

I want to hear everyone's thoughts on this!

Sounds like Tony is telling LE a few things they don't want made public. I actually have respect for this young man... he could have capitalized big time on this, but he hasn't... I think he really cares about finding out what happened to this baby.

I agree! These were really weird statements. It almost sounded like AL is/was some kind of informant for them, but I can't wrap my head around any of it. Can't wait to hear what all the super smart WSers think!

At the risk of getting my head bitten off, i just want to point out that since Tony didnt specifically say if the grocery items were frozen or not, none of us can say one way or the other.
And for those of us who dont live in the US, are freezer pops the long thin ice blocks that you get in bulk that are in plastic?
not that i think the frozen, not frozen thing is a big issue, but others clearly think it is...lol

I think that Tony will play a very important part,I for one don't blame him for keeping quiet. Tony doesn't have hardly any money,so LE giving him gas money does not surprise me. And LE not wanting some things to not get on tape,just tells me that they know way more then we do.

Maybe the "investigative lead" they didn't want to discuss on tape had something to do with Amy's claim that Tony supplied Casey with her weed? Just a thought...

I think Lee is acting somewhat like a "CI" (confidential Informant) for the LE as he can move around and talk to people without being noticed as much as LE and stay out of the media.

For the first time, I dreamed about this case last night... guess my brain was working overtime.

For some reason, and I would hate to point a finger at TL cause he does seem like a good guy, I have major red flags going up around him. Here's my train of thought:
1) TL is the last known person to see KC with her car, and the timeline is very strange because (a) IIRC his school schedule should have placed him in class during the 11:00 hour and (b) Amscot worker reportedly noticed the vehicle at 7:00 a.am - wouldn't someone have noticed a girl hanging around the car waiting for a ride until 11:00ish?
2) The New York connection - IIRC KC claimed that "the nanny" is originally from New York/ New Jersey, TL took a trip to New York 6/30-7/5, AH stated that KC was overly giddy about TL coming home (could TL have promised to be bringing Caylee home and that made KC giddy?)
3) In KC's conversation with 911 operator, she claimed that she was looking for Caylee through other sources. Sounds like someone was helping her look for the baby, or at least promising to bring the baby back. She told CA that she just needed one more day. Why? What was scheduled to happen on 7/16?
4) After being in TL's possession between the time CA picked up KC and the time that LE came back to pick up KC's cell phone, all of KC's text messages and call history were wiped from KC's phone (remember, there was no forensic info available from KC's phone); also, when AL picked up KC's laptop it was plugged in, on, blank screen, and all of KC's email messages are missing. KC couldn't have deleted these herself because she was surprised with her mother showing up. Why didn't KC grab her cell phone when CA made her go back inside and said get your stuff?
5) During the jailhouse call with LA/CA/Kristine, KC was adamant that she must talk to Tony. Why, in the midst of all this, would she be so concerned about talking to a guy she just started dating? It's totally off, and LA thought so, too.

Now, I know this all feeds into the kidnapping theory which doesn't jibe with the decomposition evidence. I don't have any explanations here... just my gut feelings. And I think that if KC confided in anyone before 7/15, then it was her new boyfriend TL, with whom she spent all of her time. These are just some things I question....

I found it odd that Tony did not tell the police that Lee came to his apartment on the night of the 15th to get Casey's stuff, in the statement Lee gave he said he was gone/there for 2 1/2 hours. And of course that is when Lee found Casey's computer had been deleted. Tony said that he was about to call Amy when Casey's phone rang. He never said who called Casey's phone. He then went on to say that he found Amy's number on Casey's phone. And he called her. So I guess my question is who really deleted Casey's files?

They also gave tony $40 cash in the interview...for expenses, and admitted that they would be tagging along with him for the day.. they stated they dont want to elaborate on tape... hmmm...

tony said in his interview first that he first heard on caylee missing from LE...that soon changed to first it was from lee..than LE...but if i recall right...casey left her phone there...tony picked it up and spoke to amy..amy and him talked for quite awhile and from her he heard about things first...so now which one is the correct one...or did i miss something?:waitasec:

A just had a realization... per Chris S statement,..casey went over to his parents and stayed 1 and half to 2 hours visiting him and his parents... she was upset over the fact that just found out mom and dad were getting a divorce...she was driving tonys jeep...tony admitted he let casey use the jeep to go to target..not sure if this was that day..but..... could LE be interested in the car wash that she told tony she washed his jeep at cuz they want surviellance? and did they....search tony's jeep and do forensics...god i hope so..i think the jeep may just be key...

I've been going over the timeline and I noticed that there's no reference in Tony's interview to Tony seeing Casey from June 15-20. Do you think they purposely skipped over those dates? These are the dates that she "fell off the face of the earth" according to Amy.

FWIW, LE nails down those dates with Amy, Jesse and Lee, as well as Ricardo, and it's unclear where Casey was staying or who she was staying with.

Have I just missed it?

I think so too, Patty. But I think also that this might be some of the questions that were asked just before the recorder was turned on. I'd love to know how Tony plans on helping them, what he has to show them and such.

IMO, I would think that LE would have the recorder on to document the answers to: "did Casey sleep at your house on June 15th?" The 15 of June is very crucial in the disappearance of Caylee.
