What will happen to that car when it's all over? I't had a dead baby in the trunk and that smell will probably never go away. Then if she did use that gas from the cans and the engine in ruined?????????????????

I use to throw a little left over premix in my truck now and again. Mixes in well, lubes the pistons a bit. Even a straight premix/gas mixture, no damage would occur, only perhaps a bit of smoke, and even that is a bit 'iffy'.

Judge Strickland ok'd TM for the trial, so I'm guessing either one could if they get an ok. pro hac vice? Is this legal jargon or LKB newest clothing line?

They are both ok to represent KC in FL due to the judge approving them pro hac vice. Only means their credentials from another state are good enough for the judge to approve them for this case only in Florida. Does not have anything to do with being attorneys qualified to be lead on a death penalty case in Florida.

George said he only saw clothes (or laundry) when he looked in KC's trunk (I think when she pulled the gas cans out).

That's as i recall, too. GA went and got the gas cans before he tried the car, and it started up without him needing them.

I think KC used a gas/oil mix (for mowers) one too many times, and it made her stall like she'd run out of gas, hence her thinking the the gauge was broken.

:eek::eek::eek:
if GA said he only saw L A U N D R Y...... or clothes....

did he indeed see the white L A U N D R Y Hamper......

That is wild....................

Really Q uite ..... WILD............
could a been...

I know the whole out of gas or not out of gas issue is an old one, but is it established as fact that the car was truly out of gas and not startable by GA at the tow yard until after he put gas in? I thought that one of the reports or statements showed that assumption was not correct, and that he never tried to start it before gassing it up. Maybe I'm confused with the passage of time? Help?

In the "olden days", when our car ran out or got close to almost-running out of gas, if it sat there shut off - it would not start...we would pump and pump the gas pedal but it still wouldn't start. Some times we only had a dollar to buy gas and so very little actually went into the tank (compared to the total size of the tank), it was not enough to start the car. The only way we could get it started was by pouring some gas into the carburator to get it to fire up. I don't know how the sunfire gets gas (fuel injection?), so maybe it doesn't matter. I guess my point is, even if there was an amount of gas in the sunfire tank- maybe after so many days- it still wasn't going to start. I'm pretty sure LE made note of the amount left in the tank. (Did I make sense?)

This is just my opinion, but I'd imagine this video has been at the FBI lab for enhancement. It could be possible it just became available for release as the state may not have had possession of it all this time. MOO

For some reason, I've always been under the impression that there were no Amscot videotapes showing the Pontiac parked there because by July 15th, Amscot security tapes for June 27-30 had already been taped over.

Was that my imagination or does anyone else recall what I do?

Assuming they have video of the entire time the car was there, they'd analyze when she got out of it, what she did, what she had with her, etc., then go through the video to see if anybody else showed up and went near the car, until the tow truck driver got there. Since the car was there three days, yes it would be long, but I can't see them enhancing the whole tape, just the important things. MOO
Curious that they would still have the tape for that time two weeks later. Don't they run on a reel and get taped over? Wonder if they hold on to tapes 'cause it's a check cashing store? Sorry, just thinking out loud. I always thought it was good fortune that the stores Casey visited still had the video.

IIRC there was also detergent.

During GA's FBI interview on 7/31 at about 9 minute mark on PART 5, he talks about putting gas in the car but does not say that he tried to start it first. However, I feel sure that somewhere else, perhaps in the interview with the manager of Johnson Towing, it was stated that the car would not start so GA added gas to it, and then it started right up. Of course, I've been wrong before. LOL.

Note above link will take you to part 3 of the interview; you'll have to search the site there for part 5.

The fuel in modern fuel injected cars is fed via an electric pump, so you no longer need to prime the system by putting gas in the car. A few seconds with power turned on to the vehicle should allow it to start, as long as the breakers haven't been thrown.

That might explain the ammount of time it took to get the tapes back. if it is a traditional tape system, or a more modern one that uses a hard drive, then the overwritten daa is not necesarily destroyed. Some of the magnetic media may be recovered by a good lab. And the FBI lab is the absolute best in the world at this sort of recovery. It would just be a very time consuming process to recover that broad of a target range of overwritten video footage. The images may not be perfect. There may be gaps etc. But if they did do a recovery on the media they may have gotten lucky.

Ok....I'm going to throw this out there as a possibility.

What if the video shows KC pulling the round laundry bag out of the trunk and putting it into TonE's Jeep?

THAT would be a BOMBSHELL!

It would also be the smoking gun that would guarantee a conviction with the DP onboard.

Too good to be true! :blowkiss:

One of my kids would end up buying it..........(sarcasm!!!!)

This would be great, but wouldn't Tone's jeep smell as bad as her Sunfire if she had done this? Especially that many days after the 16th??? Even with the triple bagging I just can't imagine that the smell wouldn't have permeated everything. Surely he would have noticed. Or would it have been better by that time????
